We appreciated the friendly staff and communication even prior to us arriving at the property. The location was perfect for us, as we were just walking everywhere, the room was very clean and we had a great couple nights during our visit!

Beautiful Riomaggiore.
Great accommodations. Clean. Modern. Be ready to walk up steep paths to get to your hotel. Ask for directions to use the elevator by the church.

This hotel was bare minimum in space and amenities. It seemed most suited to hikers and backpackers than to other tourists.

This is a small family-managed property near the top of the town. A bit of an uphill schlep carrying suitcases. But the place is very nice and has an excellent breakfast for 5€.

Honeymoon dream
We were there for our honeymoon. Easy check in/out. We were at the very top and had an amazing patio! It was almost bigger than our room. Amazing view overlooking entire city.

Worthwhile stay in Riomaggiore!
Amazing stay. First and foremost though, the locanda is all the way up the hill past the tourist shops and restaurants. About a 15 minute walk from the train station. Check in was fine. The room was very nice. It was small but we didn't need much. The shower was easily worth the whole room. The pressure was perfect. There is a patio area but we didn't use it. We got a chance to talk to the manager on duty and he was really helpful with getting around Cinque Terre. Riomaggiore was a perfect starting place for exploring the area.

We had a great time. The hotel was in a great location just outside the busy center. It was quiet and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room also had a great patio to enjoy.

A little piece of heaven
The hotel was in constant communication before I checked-in to make sure they answered all my questions. Once arrived in Riomaggiore, you have to walk uphill to find the hotel. But you have to do this to find any hotel. The room was incredible, so roomy and comfortable. I had a room with a balcony which I loved as I was able to sit outside and enjoy the view. The room and bathroom were very clean. They didn't offer breakfast when I visited but this could be because it was low season. The gentleman who checked me in (Jacondo) was very helpful and extremely pleasant. This is the perfect hotel to stay in if you are every in Riomaggiore.

You arrived at 9.00 pm despite the check-in time ends at 7.00 pm. We have waited for you even if it was not our obligation to do it. No penalty has been applied for a 2-hour late check-in. Despite all this after a few minutes that the check-in was finished, you managed to give us a negative feedback about your check-in. Unbelievable. Maybe it was you who were not interested to our cooperation.

Nice family owned B&B but a long walk (like nearly all accommodation in this town. They do come to the bottom of the stairs to take your bags.

Did not get the room we booked. Do not book through VRBO, you will not get the room in the photos
We booked this property through VRBO, but did not get the room that was confirmed by the email. We were shown a room with a balancony and view of the water in the pictures and on our confirmation email. We ended up with a small room with no balancony or view. The room was fine overall, but not what we had paid for. The owner claimed the issue is with Expedia, who manages his VRBO postings. He said we had not reserved the room in the picture, but we reserved any room. Do not book through VRBO, but through Expedia to ensure you get the room you want. The good: Clean Friendly staff Free continental breakfast The bad: Did not get the room we booked Owner blames the issue on Expedia Uncomfortable bed and old linens Very far from train station and city center Not worth the price for a small room with no view

Balcony beauty at Riomaggiore
Just got back from an amazing time in Italy and stayed at Locanda Ca Da Ride for a few days. Loved it and we can't say enough about the high customer service that Luca provided. The view from our balcony was spectacular and we enjoyed wine and take away dinner there each night versus eating out in town. The location was extremely convenient for sight seeing the towns of Cinque Terre and for eating in town. The added bonus was the parking spot but be sure to contact them prior to arriving for reservation of parking and directions.

Excellent place to stay
The room had good beds, a very good air conditioner, WiFi, a bathroom and shower with really good water pressure and was run very well. The breakfast provided in the mornings has a good variety of food. The hotel is thankfully accessible from the main road in Riomaggiore, also.

Good hotel in a peaceful setting
Good location and very comfortable bed. Shower was quite small but otherwise everything was pleasant. Luca welcomed us at the street and with their suggestions to use Roberto for luggage transport, our journey up the hill to the hotel was better than expected. Thanks Luca and team !

Hotel with city and ocean view.
Charming character in a really really clean room with balcony and sail above the bed. Couldn’t say anything better than the room was more than we expected for the affordable price. Thank you for being so wonderful and making our stay great. Great view of the ocean and the city were had and. A grocery store was close by. The hill climbing is exhausting so be prepared.

Great spot in Cinque Terre
Great place in riomaggiore. Close to train station so really easy to get to all points in Cinque Terre. Proprietor’s were great. Waited almost two hours after check in for us to arrive due to our train from Rome being cancelled.

Romantic Riomaggiore!
Riomaggiore was fantastic, and our stay at Locanda da la Iride was even better! It was beyond our expectations. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was large and clean and had outdoor seating and our room in particular had a fantastic view! One note- do not follow the google walking directions when you first arrive in Riomaggiore. Just head straight up the main road and you will find yourself at the hotel in half the time, we learned that lesson the hard way. Our stay was fantastic, we only wish we could have stayed longer!

Basic room in a perfect location. The property is run by a delightful young man, Jacapo and his grandfather who couldn't do enough for us. They even provide a excellent breakfast on the terrace free of charge. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel
Family run hotel in a quiet part of town. The staff were very helpful with parking the car and the luggage which needed to be lifted over what seemed an interminable no of steps. This place exercises your fitness especially at the end of the day. Breakfast which is provided is a simple fare but adequate. The room was clean and we had a lovely balcony and view from our elevated perch.

Lovely friendly B&B style hotel!
The room was spacious and very clean. Lovely garden terrace to relax with comfortable furniture. Breakfast was varied for a small B&B/hotel. Location is up a hill, I struggled in the heat with my luggage (we were touring Italy for 3 weeks) and I'm in my 30's! We would stay again but would pack light!
