Il BoMa is perfectly located half-way down the hill from the entrance to the Riomaggiore pedestrian district and the marina. Our hostess gave us all the information we needed to make our stay lovely, from things to do to places to eat. Her recommendations were spot on! The room was very clean and big enough for two, though not spacious; bathroom was the best we’ve had in Italy, with space and a great shower. While we knew that there would be no breakfast, Coffee, tea, and lemoncello were provided, with some store-bought pastries if you didn’t want to purchase the wonderful offerings just outside the door. We recommend this little gem - of a town and a hotel - if you go to Cinque Terre!

Ciao Ronald and Marsha,I would love to know the reasoning for 4 out of 10. You booked a one night stay with us and you arrived, if I remember correctly, in the afternoon. It would be highly impolite of you to have given me such a low score if it is because I asked for passports for check-in purposes. Anywhere you go, be it in the States, or overseas any hotel, B&B, Affittacamera will ask you for a government issued id for check-in purposes. When in the States a drivers license will suffice but since you are overseas a passport is needed. If your cruise ship advised you otherwise they were wrong (remember this for the future). A copy of the passports be it a photocopy or a copy on your cell phone would have sufficed as well.However, if there was any honesty on your part you could tell me where I went wrong so I might correct my ways for future clients. However, as you can read from the rest of our reviews they are all glorious. All 10 out of 10. Be Well

We were so happy with our stay at Il BoMa. Cannot recommend it more, as it had all that we required and more! The owner Maddy took the time to give us a overview of the area and provided recommendations to restaurants and tips for the infamous Blue Trail trail hike. She was very friendly, personable, helpful and answered all of our questions. The location is perfetto, as it is quick and easy to find once you leave the train station. They have some great choices of rooms for your stay; we were so happy with ours. The restaurants that she recommended were fantastic as well. So pleased with our choice and would definitely stay there again next time we visit 5 Terre! Thank you Il BoMa!

We loved our stay here. It’s right in the middle of Riomaggiore so it’s not easy to get to but it’s totally worth it. The owners give very specific instructions on how to get in both by car and train. We came in by car but there is very limited parking so I would suggest trying to go in by train. It’s very easy to access the train to the other villages of Cinqueterre and the owners are very good about giving all the information you need to get around. There is a lot of walking both up and down hill so just be prepared. Would definitely stay here again!

Maddy was an excellent host. She provided excellent directions to her property from the train (better than google maps!), great instructions on how to get around 5 Terre, including train schedules and ferry schedules and details about the various hiking routes available in area. Even though my stay was only three nights, I was able to do a lot of activities because of Maddy’s info and tips. Her restaurant recommendations were also helpful. Thank you Maddy and Franco.

What a wonderful hotel, situated in a lovely area. It's a great walking distance from the Riomaggiore train station, so it was great for us since we were lugging our heavy 45L backpacks. The owner's initial welcome instructions are detailed and helped us find the location! TY for that. There was no need for us to use Google maps. The room she gave us is very spacious, clean, and has the amenities we need ... closets, extra pillows and blankets, towels, bowls, utensils, fridge, coffee maker, tea pot, treats, etc ... and I loved how we were given the rundown of our room and the area around us!

Our stay was perfetto (perfect)!
Maddy was great. Met us at the entrance to town, brought us to the private parking and then to the property. Provided a map, instructions for options of visiting the 5 terre and where the ferry and train stations were, as well as the walking path. Recommended certain places to eat and explained why (eg this one changes the frying oil often, this one serves fresh pizza, not frozen),m. Arranged a porter to bring our bags back to the car (Riomaggiore has serious stairs and hills, and an elevator that may or may not be open). She even told us where to go to get the best photos of Riomaggiore. Great shower. Great location. Comfy bed. Not one complaint.

Property was in an amazing location, right along the main street in Riomaggiore. Drank wine with the windows open and listened to the street noise, which was wonderful. The apartment is quite large and the facilities were great. Owners even provided home-made limoncello. Pretty unbelieveable service, location, and property quality. Price is high, but lower than many in the area.

In an excellent position with sea views and only a few minutes walk from the station (partly uphill but not too steep). We rented the triple room which was comfortable for 2. If renting as a triple, the sofa bed is in the living area and the bathroom is up some stairs off the living area. Watch out for the low ceiling from the bathroom! The least appealing aspect was that the internal hall and stairway not very welcoming and had an unpleasant smell. This said, we had a great time and worth paying a bit extra.

I liked that it was close to the station, right in the middle of the town so close to the restatirants, shops and sights, and Maddy provided a lot of information relevant to our stay. Just be aware though that the apartment is separate from the building that has a view. I based my booking on the pictures and reviews talking abouta water view but the apartment is in a different building.

Just to clarify -- if you look at the general pictures under Il BoMa Affittacamere in Expedia it gives you all the fotos for the Affittacamere (whether they be for the sea view rooms as well as for the apartment in the center of town). Then when you go into each individual accommodation you will see the photos for that specific accommodation. If the description of the room (Room Seaview or Triple Room Seaview) indicates seaview then you will have a sea view. The apartment is indicated as Apartment 1 Bedroom and no where in the description of this accommodation in Expedia is there indicated that you will have a sea view. Also when any guest makes a reservation with us through Expedia or any other booking source they receive a Welcome Mail from us giving them a full description of the accommodation they booked along with a link where they can see photos of the accommodation. If you did not see any seaviews in these photos you could have sent us an e-mail asking why or indicating that you want a sea view. Glad to read, however, that we provided you with much information relevant to your stay. We do hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future. Beautiful view! property was clean and well kept. Owner communicated well, and was prompt. Directions to the meet up place should not mention the church as it makes you think you need to find the church first, which makes you walk even further

Fantastic - Better than the photos!
Amazing place to stay in Cinque Terre - spotless clean, host has thought of all the little details needed for the stay, and the views are amazing and the photos do not do it justice. The host goes out of her way to show you a map of the area and recommend things to do. One of our best travel experiences with AirBnB type properties yet.

We stayed in one of the wonderful BoMa apartments! The view was spectacular. The space was so pretty clean, and cozy. Maddy was very generous with her time and shared a lot of good information with us about the area and went well out of her way to help us have a wonderful stay. Our highest recommendations!!!
