"No free breakfast"

"The location is great for us. Renovations were gong on but not a nuisance. I had to ask twice for the described refillable water bottles. There is no bar soap, so if that is your preferred, it is best to bring your own. You do not get wash cloths so you have to ask for them more than once if you have daily housekeeping. We have never received an upgrade being Hotels.com users and have stayed there frequently. I think they ignore this. Other hotels have upgraded us even on the first stay in New York."

"On arrival, I found they added a surprise $40 per day "Access Fee" for the hotel. You'd think you'd have access when you've paid for a room, but not here. A shady way to dramatically change the cost of your stay once it's too late. They also put me on the 3rd floor initially, and the room was shaking from the music in the club below. Not a great experience."

"I've stayed at the Robert Treat Hotel for my last five trips to NYC, and I've always had a great experience. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the location works perfectly for us. I travel with a handicapped family member, so we drive into the city instead of taking the train. The drive is easy, and parking is only about $23 a night, which is hard to beat. The little store in the hotel has saved me more than once when I forgot something, and the restaurant food is really good. At this point, staying here has become part of our trip. We'll definitely be back."

"Staying at the Fairfield in FiDi worked well for us (2 people). The room was tiny (we expected as much) but clean and pleasant, with a comfy bed and a nice (and surprisingly spacious) bathroom. The shower had good water pressure. The hotel’s complimentary breakfast was simple but good enough to hold us over until our pricier Brooklyn brunch later in the day. Reasonable garage parking offered a couple of blocks away at iPark ($32/night without in/out) The hotel’s best features are: 1. Location — if you want to a few minutes’ walk from the South Street Seaport, Wall Street, Trinity, and a host of other charming spots in this part of NYC it is a great choice! 2. Staff — super kind and helpful, from expediting our check in to offering us a late checkout to holding luggage…. A great experience!"

"We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it! The room was spacious and spotless and we had such a great sleep as it was quiet and had the comfiest mattress we had ever slept on! We have stayed in many a hotel in New York over the years but both said this is the best hotel experience we had ever had! Reception staff were really lovely to especially Ricky he was so helpful and friendly We will definitely be staying there here again ."
