"I usually stay at Riu Palace Macau, but it was sold out. I chose this Riu Palace Punta Cana and was pleased overall with everything. The bed was a bit hard compared to most and I wish they had tubs in addition to the shower. The water pressure from the rainfall shower head was a bit low, but sufficient. They upgraded me to a better room location which was very nice considering it was a late reservation and only the basic rooms were available when I booked. I stick to Riu Palace locations all over the world as they seem to be consistently good, fun and great staff. My top favorites are: Riu Palace Kukulkan (Cancun) Riu Palace Baja California (Cabo San Lucas) Riu Palace Macau (Punta Cana) These seem to have exceptional properties a step above all the others."

"This Resort is beautiful! The staff were great, and the beach was gorgeous! We had a swim up suite and loved it! The only thing I would have liked differently was the pool being a little warmer, the water was freezing, but we did go in March. We would definitely go back! Our Butler was very accommodating, and checked in on us multiple times a day. "

"Very clean property and attentive staff. Room mini bar was stocked daily with free water bottles and beverages. Food was very good and better than other inclusive resort foods but the only option for breakfast and lunch was at the buffet. One of the buffets was only open to privilege guests so not much options of food during the day. Also staff were a bit pushy with the “courtesy gifts”. However, resort was beautiful and I would recommend."

"Air conditioning would not shut off on either unit, elevator was down 3 of our 4 days, had to repeatedly request regular coke instead of Coke Zero. Food was meh, we won’t return"

"The hotel have manny issues first night no electricity on our room the room change us at 2 am by 11 am our room still with no electricity after that no one person make sure that we where okey , the bars where very poor and the personal because we speak Spanish don’t we us the same services as the other until I only speak English then everything change that was very disrespectful, cleanliness on the room was poor the public areas where okey, the only good place was the catamaran activity and the Spa. "

"Overall, the stay was OK. We felt that there was too much of a push to "upgrade" when we arrived and then banners everywhere recommending to upgrade. Having to make reservations for dinner was a joke. Many people didn't show up, the restaurant was empty, yet we weren't allowed without a reservation (had just arrived). After 2 days we ventured to the non-adult side - not because it was recommended, but that we were curious. The drinks were better and the ambience was more upscale. The lobby was amazing! The entertainment significantly better. The adults only lobby reminded me of my great grandmother's house - old and tired. Who would have thought that the adults only side - which was quite a bit more expensive - would have looked tired in comparison?! Cute "lover swings and hammocks" on the other side, path lighting had a better ambience etc. Our friends room had one - ONE - plug in. They called the front desk to ask to be moved as her husband needs a CPAP and she wanted to charge her phone overnight. They were given 2 long, orange, extension cords (tripping hazard!). Oh wait, ONE power outlet also meant that they couldn't plug in their tv or mini-fridge. WTH! "too full, couldn't be moved". The food was "ok" - nothing to get too excited about. And the margaritas on the adult side were just not good - after the 2nd day I would walk to the other side with my mega-cup that I brought to have my drinks made. Lesson - don't bother paying to upgrade to adults only"

"I have been eyeing Hard Rock Punta Cana for a while and wasn't sure what to expect. I say that even after reading many reviews. I have found that often times, the star rating on these all inclusive properties, don't match what you get in real life. But I'm happy to say Hard Rock Punta Cana exceeded my expectations. Its a true 5 star, in all aspects of what a 5 star all inclusive should be."

"Nothing what I expected the food was horrible food I had the opportunity to experience the “U” and save your money no service at all by the pool I am used to being catered to by the pool and not once they came to me and the pool wasn’t even full I would never go back"
