Fairmont El San Juan Hotel

"Our stay started bad! We booked a partial ocean room. We got a room right next to the elevator with an ok view on the 8th floor. As soon as we got in the room, we could hear the elevator going up and down constantly. My husband was playing golf early in the morning and it was going to be impossible to sleep with the elevator going up and down constantly. We asked for a room away from the elevator and got downgraded to a room in the 3rd floor with no view because they had no other rooms available. But at least we could sleep peacefully. That was a bummer. But they compensated us for the downgrade after I talked to them. Other than that, the staff was great, helpful, and went out of their way to help us. They even provided a room for us at night after we had checked out to shower and get ready before heading to the airport since we had hung out at the beach all day. Hotel, pool and beach staff were all great. Food at the restaurants was decent. The lobby ambiance was the best! The front desk was very nice and helpful. I loved that they provide reusable water bottles that you can keep and have water stations through out the resort. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"Our stay at the Condado Vanderbilt was absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly, the amenities and restaurants were fabulous. The location was really nice as well. Lots of stores and restaurants in walking distance. One downside was waiting for ice to be brought to the room, as they do not have an ice machine for guests."
