"My overall experience was nice. The staff was great and the hotel room were clean, but the tables in the room were a little rusty. The hotel is a few blocks from the beach and near lots of restaurants. The restaurant Sobao that’s connected to the hotel has delicious sandwiches and ice matcha."

"The room was dirty, and smelled like mildew when we arrived. The shower had mold and the metal soap holder (the only place to put anything other the floor which was so sloped you couldn’t stay up any bottles) was broken and just fell right off.. this was a very old and run down looking room. Also the headboard in the bedroom was directly behind the elevators and it was incredibly loud. This room was also a room that could be attached to another room and we could hear every conversation/ argument The adjoining room was having although our parties were not together… This building had no sound proofing. I asked the front desk if we could get a second chair on the balcony (all other balconies have two) so my boyfriend and I could both sit out there… they never even followed up and ultimately never brought the chair. Also the parking scanner was extremely difficult to use if the weather wasn’t perfect. We also had to park in the parking garage the last day we were there and so we had to drag our luggage all the way over there very early in the AM which sucked… Other than that, the pool was great, the view from the balcony was the only saving grace of the room. Other than the one young fellow that it was no help about the chair at the front desk. Everyone else was very helpful and kind! It looks like they’re doing renovations on the building and their reception area is very nice which is very misleading to how the room was kept, which is disappointing. The stay was ok. "

"Breathtaking views, gorgeous grounds, beautiful pools. Unfortunately the hot tubs were not working properly, and a young child had a few episodes and was very loud and arguing with his father. But El Conquistador is amazing."

"Property is great, lobby is beautiful, staff wonderful. Rooms need upgrade but are clean, and the area needs some clean up. Not the nicest part of the island. "

"The staff was very friendly, but the hotel was filthy. The bathroom had no soap dish, the doors were damaged, and water was leaking from the floor. When I arrived, the bathroom was wet as if someone else had just used it. The walls were dirty! Terrible decision. There was no manager to complain to."

"Food very average. Rooms clean and well designed. Staff amazingly friendly and helpful. Access to beach is great but beach is very dangerous. Constant red flag not to go swim. Front desk kept messing up our room keys. Had to go back three times to fix. And concierge forgot about my car rental info. Overall 3.5 out of five rating. "
