Many thanks to both of them, as Guiseppe was out of town. "By far the biggest advantage of this property is its location in the middle of the busy dining district of the old town. It is on a side miniature street, hence very quiet. The room we rented (Barbara) is quite large with a mini open-air balcony, a table and a couch. It would have been nice to have a second chair to be able to dine at the table, but this is a minor gripe. I did not give it top marks for the property condition because some of the furniture is a bit run down and some of the rooms...

"GC14 is ‘basic’ in some ways and has minimal facilities (although rooms have the essentials) but it’s in a great location for exploring Palermo on foot or by bus and making day-trips elsewhere in Sicily. The very best thing about it is the young, friendly and efficient staff! They couldn’t be nicer or more helpful and they made us feel warmly welcome."

"Not for the overweight. Very narrow stairs and a shower cabinet opening of only 12 inches. No corkscrew or kettle. Guests are required to wash dishes before leaving and take out garbage despite having to pay a hefty cleaning fee. "Definitely a place we would stay again. The apartment had plenty of room and was well equipped. Communication with the owner was excellent. The location is great. Navigating and understanding the historical downtown area was somewhat frustrating so I'd recommend researching this before driving your car into that zone."
