"Wonderful & helpful staff. Very clean & modern hotel. Comfy beds. Decent breakfast. 15 mins walk into the heart of porto. Highly recommend."

"This is not a 3 star hotel as stated on hotels.com, try 1 star at best. There is no wardrobe or drawers in the room, no bin for rubbish, no fridge to keep drinks cold. The double bed was smaller than a standard double. There was no mosquito nets on the windows. The toilet seat hasn't been fitted correctly and is dangerous. The pictures of the rooms must have been taken years ago and have not been updated since. The listing states a continental breakfast is included, one plate with cheese and another with ham and a basket of bread rolls is not a continental breakfast. Before arrival I contacted the hotel on many occasions for some information and I never received a reply, the only reply I did receive was a link to check in and when I sent the same query again I received the same link to check in again and therefore the query was left unanswered. Overall the hotel is not value for money."

"We stayed in an apartment not the hotel. It was clearly newly renovated. Very nice and spacious, situated adjacent to the hotel. Staff was helpful. No complaints on that front. However, the location was a bit seedy and outside of the tourist area, 4 metro stops away. Taking the metro was quick and easy but we did not like the vibe in the square where the metro was located."

"This hotel is marketed as a ‘vintage’ hotel but I suspect they bought a hotel that was quite grand and fashionable in it’s heyday. The room had a comfortable bed and clean linen but thr carpet and furniture were quite worn. The breakfast had a limited selection and the coffee was cheap instant that was made up and put in jugs. That said - it was ok for the price. The view from the breakfast room was amazing."

"My biggest issue with this was that we booked what was listed as a 2 bedroom and it was most certainly not a 2 bedroom. It was a 1 bedroom with an additional sofa bed in the living room. The listing (which had no photos) mentions a sofa bed, but does not mention it's not in a separate room of its own, so don't expect privacy for a second couple or kids. That out of the way, here's the full scoop. The location is good, has a more local feel, not touristy. Very close to bus stops and a metro stop. Several grocery stores within 5 to 10mins walk. Several cafes nearby, go to Cafe Cifrao and get their francesinha. Easy walks to downtown too, 10 to 15mins depending where you're going. Just keep an eye on the hills (Porto is hills). Kitchen is nice, has everything you need. Nespresso machine even. Bedroom is fine, comfy bed, has its own little private patio. Outside the kitchen is a shared outdoor space with your neighbor, but plenty of room, each with their own smaller patio as well. AC works well if it's hot! Bathroom is ok, functional. The shower is the smallest, tightest, shower I have ever used in my life and I have been on a lot of cruise ships with small showers. Laundry room is ok, one is a washer only, the other is a combo wash/dry. However the dry portion did not work while we were there. Bring your own soap. When others are staying in the building, they will be loud on the stairs fyi. All in all, had a nice stay, just keep in mind the 2 bedroom."
