A lovely place for a base, within walking distance of local transport but was still a quiet location. The staff were so helpful and were happy to help with anything. They suggested the best places to visit and guided us to the local shops. Would stay again

We had a great stay at Aparthotel Oporto Anselmo. The place is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. We had a room with private hot tub and small garden, the hot tub may need maintenance as the hydro jets that creates the bubbles was not working very well but otherwise was a great temperature and clean. It’s located in a quiet area, about a 10-minute walk to the nearest selection of cafes and the main promenade, which was perfect for a relaxed stay. There’s also a small shop and grocery store less than 5 minutes away, which was really convenient. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a comfortable and peaceful base in Porto.

Loved our stay at Anselmo. Great to have a pool and a quiet oasis to relax in. Staff were welcoming, apartment was clean and comfortable. Porto very walkable (uber worked well too) and plenty of good restaurants to choose from. Highly recommended.

This 4-star hotel provides 5-star service and accommodations. The design of the room, furnishings, and decor is phenomenal. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and gorgeous. Shops, restaurants, tourist destinations - even a large grocery store - are all in walking distance. The onsite parking is safe and very affordable at only 15 euro a day. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Hotel is well located close to tourist attractions. Apartments we're spacious and stylish, however beds and couch were uncomfortable and tv did not work. Towels were very worn and threadbare and we found belongings from a previous guest in a cupboard.

6 nights in Porto

We had 6 nights at Oporto Anselmo and the location, rooms, service, facilities and surrounding area were spot on. You can Uber anywhere for €4, plus if you are under 50, it is only a gentle 8 minute stroll downhill into town!! Uber back!! There are plenty of good restaurants and bars within 2-3 minutes of apartments, plus 2–3 good cafe / bakeries for breakfast.

Spacious apartment with a small swimming pool and jacuzzi on premises. The apartment is great and well-equipped. The breakfast could be better, as it doesn't contain any protein. Service, communication was smooth and on top level. Highly recommended!

Floor was dirty. Tv did not work. There were ants everywhere in the bathroom. Even had biting things in the room during our sleep. It did have nice amenities for use like the heated towel rack. Kitchen items. Good enough for a short stay but would not return.

We are very happy with our 4 night stay in the hotel. It was clean and nice. Close to metro stations, historical parts of the city, as well as a good grocery store. However, there are two large dogs (I think Doberman) living in the block and they bark a lot, also in the middle of the night. Their owner does not silence them, they are allowed to keep on until they quit by themselves, which at times can take quite a while. One night we were waken up at 2AM from the dogs barking. At times we also had to close the balcony door, in order to reduce the disturbances from the dogs. Apart from the dogs, i find the neighbourhood very nice and silent. In total, I think the pros overweighted the cons, although the dogs were a huge drawback.
