They had activities and a bar for the guests. Everyone was friendly. The dorm rooms were quiet, insulated from the sounds outside and had air conditioning.

Location is fantastic, walking distance to the centre and surrounded by restaurants and bars. However, breakfast was very poor, the room did not have proper hot water for showering and finally the rooms are located around a bar that stays open until 2am, so if you wish to go sleeping before that time you will need to bear the noise. Overall, I found the property overpriced for the actual offer and facilities.

A lovely place in a vibrant part of the city. Lots of good food nearby and interesting bars in the area. Handy for Trindade. A pleasant walk to the waterfront, but not so close as to be troubled by day tripping tourists.

Selina has a good location, but we had inconveniences during our stay. The room has no windows and because of that, there is a strong smell in the room. Cleaning was not carried out.

Super cool hostel and more than just a hostel! Had lovely welcome drinks and so many optional excursions you can book with them if you want. Really great for solo travelling or traveling with people. They had a bar there and restaurant with lovely outside sitting area. Really nicely decorated and the rooms had good comfortable beds and curtains for privacy. The only downside is the bathrooms didn’t get serviced and we ran out of toilet paper a lot (8 bed dorm). Other than that it was awesome! They also let me leave my luggage there free of charge on the day I checked out so I could keep exploring longer. The hostel is good walking distance form the train station and the metro from the airport.

I booked Selina for my stay in Portugal because I was so impressed with the Panamá locations. But Porto was just meh. Pros: location was great and walkable. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Laundromat nearby. Nice to have a cafe/bar right in Selina. The common areas look hip and trendy. Room had lots of storage. Staff were fine. Nothing was dirty. Cons: We booked a “large double” and paid $100 more just to find out it’s the same thing as a standard double, so don’t waste your money “upgrading”. If there was a difference, it certainly wasn’t noticeable and staff told us they didn’t have a “large double” other than suites. The cleaning staff don’t come unless you put out your sign, but two of our five days they didn’t come anyway, so we had to request it from front desk staff the third day. The room has a wall that’s just a window which looks nice in pictures but really has no use in practice since you’ll always want it closed for privacy. Despite staying in January and having barely any other guests around, there must be a nightclub nearby because it was still very loud at night. Can’t imagine how loud it would’ve been if there was nice enough weather for the bar on the Selina patio to be operating. Worst part was that there was no hot water for our last two days which made showers painful. Price was similar to hotels- I will probably just stay at a hotel next time.

Lugar agradable, cómodo y muy bonito, ubicación perfecta, con un personal excelente, mejoran tu estancia en todo lo que sea posible, nos alojaron en una habitación mejor por estar disponible en esas fechas. Teníamos el desayuno incluido y muy bien, se puede comer en el hotel pero alrededor está lleno de bares y restaurantes. Todas las noches acabábamos en la terraza del hotel tomando una copa, lugar agradable y con precios normales de bar de copas.

Eram 5 estrelas, mas não existe sinal de internet nos quartos. Ele simplesmente SOME. O problema seria facilmente resolvido se colocassem um repetidor na área dos quartos, mas não fazem. Se você precisar mandar uma mensagem que seja: “já estou indo dormir”, esqueça, terá que sair de dentro do quarto para conseguir rede. Lamentável isso!

Muito bom! O quarto e banheiro são limpos e organizados! Os funcionários são muito gentis e prestativos, todos. As camas são grandes e tem a possibilidade de fechar a cortina o que te dá mais privacidade, tem luminária e dois pontos de tomada o que facilita muito. Tem um bar/restaurante muito bom disponível, toca música até tarde mas os quartos tem bom isolamento acústico então não incomoda. A localização também é ótima! A minha única questão (mas não vou diminuir a nota por isso) é que faltam lugares para pendurar roupas/toalha do banheiro bem como um suporte para colocar os produtos de higiene, seria muito útil!
