"Amazing!!!"

"This hotel was an absolute dream. My fiance and I were here for a pre-wedding trip and the lovely & friendly staff made us feel so special. They left a nice note along with a bottle of wine and dessert for us. The lobby is beautiful, and so are the rooms. We had one with a jacuzzi and it was perfect. Lots of space, nice robes and slippers. All very modern, comfortable bed. The breakfast, which is included, was very delicious. Lots of options and fantastic iced lattes and fruit bowls. The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing. This is now one of my favourite hotels! We hope to come back again and stay here soon :) "

"We chose this hotel because it was not in the heart of the main tourist sections of the historic center nor Gethsemaní but we could walk to them if we wanted or Uber quickly. Some reviews say the area is not safe. We are 2 women in our 60s, which could mean we're targets for some opportunists but not others. That said we were careful to not walk late at night or if our gut said go another way. Fortunately that never happened. Often we opted for a taxi or Uber because of the hot sun. And so it was wonderful to come back to San Lazaro and be cooled off right when we opened the door. The room was very clean, bigger than most hotels we've stayed in, and the bed was fabulous! One thing that didn't work for us was that our room had a very small obscured window so the room was dark. The staff worked with us to move to another room a couple days later. It was also an added benefit to be across from the San Felipe Castle which we visited for the beautiful sunset and we avoided the lines. Breakfast was tasty as well and twice we sat on the patio in full view of the castle. And visiting the chocolate museum down the street was fun too."
