Hi Jacqui,I'm sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at our accommodation, it's concerning that despite being the most expensive place you booked during your tour of Tasmania, there were issues with power outages upon your arrival, however due to a car accident resulting in a damaged power pole, it must have been incredibly frustrating to be left without power, especially after a long day at Port Arthur. I want to clarify that the manager did not have power, unfortunately we do not have a generator, the backup power supply for the site is a water pump which was switched on, so you were able to have access to water and enjoy a nice hot shower. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. We have a range of cabins and simply cannot display images of every cabin. All our cabins are fully self contained and self-catering and it is courteous to leave the cabin in an acceptable condition when you leave. Should the cabin be left in a mess at the end of a stay, it is at the discretion of staff, whether a fee should be charged, depending on the additional cleaning that may be required to prepare the cabin for the next guest. We have checked with the staff who handled both your arrival and departure. The staff member who assisted you on arrival confirmed you had queried the ocean view, and although the booking had been allocated the correct room type, had lexplored the option of a room move, which unfortunately was not possible for the two nights. They also advised you had empatically stated you would not accept a room move for either night. We were also contacted by Expedia regarding a refund for the second night, and it was explained this would be possible, but you would need to speak with the supervisor the following morning. We understand you chose to stay the 2nd night, as you did not raise the matter further until you departed. We have also inspected the cabin, and found the interior to be in a clean and tidy condition. There were some cobwebs on the exterior log walls, however this is not unexpected as all cabins are nestled in bushland.

Hi Michelle, we are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. The accommodation is stand alone rustic cabin style suited to the nature reserve surrounding it. Ideal for people who just want to get away and enjoy nature. Our rates are dynamic and go up and down depending on season, demand and occupancy. Unfortunately, you chose to stay in December which is peak period and the rates reflect this.

Hi Ka,Thank you so much for your valued feedback. We're sorry to hear the restaurant was closed when you were staying. The good news is our restaurant is now open 7-days a week. A very recent change. But glad to hear you found some local food stores. Sadly, the coverage for Wi-Fi networks is very bad on the Peninsula, which restricts us from offering it across our huge site.
