"Most of the stay was great. Location is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. What really dampened the stay is we were there one day and the pool was closed that day for cleaning. I completely understand that the pool has to be cleaned, but I feel like there could be a better time to do the cleaning. like early morning before the pool opens, instead of closing the pool for the entire day. The pool at hotel galvez is amazing, it is the main reason we booked there is so we could relax and swim on our one day there. that didn't get to happen. It was very disappointing. It seems like they knew that this pool cleaning was going to happen, but still charged the full rate knowing their main amenity will not be available. Other than that problem, we enjoyed our stay"

"Room had mold. Needed a cleaning if walls and headboards. Covered in dust and dust bunnies. Walls were damaged due to holes in drywall. Outside grounds and parking lot not clean. Very noisy place to stay."

"Paid over $200 and while I was there I found a live roach in the bathroom. When I went to complain there was another person there also complaining about roaches. "

"Clean room. Room didn’t smell bad. Air conditioning was working well and wasn’t loud. Beds were very clean and comfortable. Coffee and water was in the room for free. Staff was very friendly and accommodating."

"We stayed the night before our cruise embarkation. Best decision was to stay at this location, leave car on lot (additional fee), get transportation to cruise port (additional fee-one way or round trip). I will always pick this location when in the galveston area again. I highly recommend. "

"The place was so adorable! The host was so sweet and attentive. The only drawback about this place is that the bathroom is pretty tight, and how the toilet was too close to the wall. Somewhat awkward, but overall, this place is in a great location and convenient! :) you can park your car for free, and walk to the beach and the pier! "

"I went to Galveston for a girls trip and stayed here. So glad we did! It was the perfect spot for us. Once you are in the gated parking lot you feel safe and secure because the entire property is closed in. The condo is located on the Seawall so everything is in walking distance. We even walked to the Strand. It’s a bit far by walk but doable. The condo itself is great! Plenty of space for the 3 of us. The pool area is outstanding! It’s located right outside the sliding back door. The only noise we heard was from cars passing by and birds. I loved waking up each morning and sitting outside watching the sunset and the beach. Would definitely recommend this place and will stay here again! "
