"Images on hotels.com were not what we got when we got there. As the hotel had just been bought out by Spark. Everything was new. On our second day., breakfast changed, we no longer had the option of protein for breakfast as that was removed. We could pay for it. Staff did not know how to operate the air-conditioning units in the room, it was new. We wanted the fan to blow for noise, that could not be done. There was no coffee maker in the room as it was removed from the rooms as Spark does not provide coffee makers in the rooms. We were staying there for the historic aspect and not prepared for the change. We would have stayed closer to the golf course if we would have known. But, it was clean, new, great staff, easy location. I feel Spark should have called to prepare us for the construction and changes."

"Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was fine, but the room definitely smelled like cigarette smoke and the AC has trouble getting the room cool enough. Still, not a bad stay for the money."

"Very good staff, nice property, clean rooms. Roomkey devices were finicky, great bar and pool area. Honestly the only real issue is the 1ply paper —. You would think for the nightly price they could find 50c for better paper "

"We were greeted pleasantly by staff at check in. Lobby was clean and neat. But the staircase was dirty w dried mud from boots (guests working construction like jobs.) The room was visibly tired. Sheets and blanket were thin and worn. Curtains were missing hooks so they couldn’t stay closed properly. Breakfast was less than average though we did find yogurt and fruit."

"Finally received check in instructions 45 mins prior to check in. That was after emailing, texting and calling the host. I had to leave a msg that I was going to call Expedia before they finally sent us the info. When we arrived, all of the towels were wet. Folded in drawers still wet. This is not an apartment. There is no sink besides the bathroom. No soap available anywhere. So not a good idea to use the dishes. We reported that the 2nd bedroom had water leaking from the ceiling onto the floor making that room unusable and the floor wet! Nothing was done. Overpriced for what we got. Very disappointed."
