Flawless execution by the Gunrunner staff from beginning to end! The pre-arrival instructions were spot-on. Our room was clean and personalized for us when we arrived (they had left us a gift of wine and a card congratulating us for our wedding anniversary that we were there celebrating - nice touch!). We were staying in Florence to see some of the local sites and restaurants, but the highlight was the Gunrunner bar and many seating areas around the bar. We were able to listen to some live music and just chill. The ambience fit our goal for the weekend. The Gunrunner was a great experience and we look forward to going back!

We adored our 2 night stay at The Gunrunner! The downtown Florence location was delightful. Easy to walk about this charming town. The uniqueness of this locally owned boutique hotel was worth the price. Exquisitely comfortable beds! Lovely gathering space that all rooms opened out onto. Rooftop deck was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Run to the GunRunner

Without hesitation, we would go back tomorrow. The hotel is unique and amazing - truly, you can tell the designers/owners who completed the renovation cared about what they were doing. this place is a GEM!!

A gem in Florence

Fantastic boutique hotel! My husband and I were on a road trip and decided to tour Muscle Shoals Fame recording studio. Found this gem for a quick overnight. The only regret is that we didn't have time to enjoy all of the amenities - spa, bar, etc. Hoping to get back there someday.

It was unique, a little hip/funky, beautiful, comfortable and well-situated in the middle of downtown Florence. I note that I could hear the bar and music, but the bar closed around 10:00, when I went to bed. It took a little while to get hot water, but then it was fine. There needs to be better instructions to operate the (useful!) electronic devices & it would help to tell people that registration is at the bar.

This was the second time I’ve stayed with Gunrunner. At the last visit there was zero parking due to the bar guests however I was able to arrive at check in time prior to the bar peek and found a spot. I did find it gross that the body wash and hand cleanser were only half full. I went to target,which is thankfully close by,and purchased my own. Still, paying over 400 dollars a night I should’ve had complimentary soap. The bar was severely understaffed. I waited over 45 minutes for a drink. Ended up ordering two and just went to my room. The room i stayed in was the Smithsonian and it was cozy/comfy. I will comment though that it was exceptionally loud all night long. There should be a curfew so that paying guests can sleep. The coffee shop is a new area since my last visit. I didn’t stop in but it smelt amazing as I was leaving and seemed to be a popular spot.
