"An old hotel bought up and then made self-service. Self checkin was not working and took an hour and I was sent to a “used” room. Finally everything was sorted out (thanks to Maryem). But I was understandably nervous and shattered by the end."

"Gruyeres Rooms was a wonderful hotel! The room was huge, and I woke up to a beautiful view in the morning. It’s in the center of the village but very quiet. Plus, I missed a couple of train connections and arrived at the station down below after 10:00. I called the hotel and the manager’s brother walked me through everything. Yay!"

It is unpretentious but offers a lovely restaurant with terrace seating suitable from early morning to late post concert hours. My room was spotlessly clean with lovely views of the town and Alpine valley landscape. The bedding is superior - I had the best night’s sleep after the evening’s recital in historic Church Saanen. "This is a wonderful hotel in one of the most beautiful places in the world. You're steps away from the HR Giger Bar & Museum, Castle Gruyeres, restaurants, and little shops. It's amazing. And breakfast was so good."

"We were put here from the Beauloc, the owner was so nice to us when we arrived. The only thing that happened was we were put on the third floor. there was no fans it was so hot that none of us could sleep. The windows would not open and it was a terrible night.."
