Beautiful little Air B&B nestled along the Cabot Trail in Pleasant Bay. Very clean, well stocked with everything you need from utensils tobath towels. The hot tub is great and very private and bathrobes are a bonus and the lovely outdoor fire pit was a wonderful bonus!

My husband and I stayed here - it was very clean and had what everything we needed. The barbeque was really nice to have. I did not like the location as it is literally on the Cabot Trail hwy. You could sit outside, but the traffic was steady. It was good for a one night stay.

This is an entire apartment and even has a hot tub! Great place to stay. But you better have breakfast food with you or be prepsred to eat at the nearby restaurant.

Perfect location!!!

Beautiful and convenient stay located next to the ocean! I loved how close it was to the Highlands National Park and a lot of great hiking. Pleasant bay was quiet and off the beaten path which was nice. The apartment had all the amenities and the hot tub after a day of hiking was exceptional.

Comfortable, very clean, quiet cottage in the heart of the Cabot Trail where few accommodations are available. The communication with hosts was prompt and easy. The cottage was equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay (the funny signs around the cottage add a charm to it).

Highland Sunrise Suite is the perfect location for exploring the Cabot Trail National Park and the vibrant communities of the Sunset Coast of Cape Breton. It has a sun deck on the front of the house and a private hot tub in the back. The clean comfortable suite also had all the amenities for cooking. Our only disappointment was that we weren’t staying longer.

Highland suite May 2025

Had a very enjoyable stay at the very comfortable, clean, inviting, well decorated Highland suite after moving from the smaller hikers suite. Both suites are excellent.The hosts Brian and Elizabeth were very helpful with our switch to the larger suite and did everything possible to ensure our stay was a comfortable and memorable one. Our toaster stopped working one morning and by afternoon there was a new replacement outside the front door.Hot tub is private using bromine instead of chlorine and there's a shared fire pit area in the back. Very enjoyable and heard lots of birds and an owl in the back.If you are staying in the area for a week, be sure to take advantage of the one night free policy. This is a very central location and we were able to stay here the entire week while being able to do different trails daily on different parts of the Cabot Trail which wasn't too far to travel.If you haven't been to Cape Breton, let us say OMG the views are absolutely breathtakingly stunning. Wow what a trip.Thanks Brian and Elizabeth!
