The view from this hotel was gorgeous. The room was clean, cute and comfortable. The hotel restaurant upstairs has a buffet option for 25€ per person (price for July 2022) which was pretty good and very convenient. Private beach area was really nice as well.

The position of the hotel is excellent. The room is spacious, clean and with a beautiful view. The condition of the pool is bad. The hotel does not have an a la carte restaurant open out of season.

The hotel is amazing. It is clean, spacious and in a great location. It is only a short walk away from the centre of Piran. The amenities are brilliant and there is everything that you need inside the hotel. The choice of breakfast is fantastic, they have thought of everything. There is plenty of choice. An excellent stay we had!

+ve location - 15 minutes walk along coast to Piran was perfect on-site parking plentiful large clean rooms all with balcony and beautiful view nice beach area, deck chairs always available large breakfast room so could easily keep distance from others -ve odd smell in the corridors on a couple of occasions breakfast was diverse but refills slow in coming so not great if you go for last sitting

Hotel Bernardin Portoroz
The hotel is in a beautiful location and has a private beach that is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are nice and seem to have been refurbished more recently. The rest of the hotel is quite dated and needs a proper refurbishment. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there. Just note that what you are paying for is the location and the private beach. The hotel itself needs to be modernized.

Great views
Wonderful location with views over the Adriatic, the rooms are quite a bit on the small side for a supposedly 5 star hotel. Also the food is more 4 star than 5, not to speak of the crowded dining rooms, but overall we had a great time.

Lovely hotel with great views from the rooms. The atmosphere in the evenings would be much better if there was a pianist or other musician playing. The large, excellent reception and bar areas were virtually deserted every evening.

We stayed in Piran for two nights and would highly recommend the town. When we arrived at the hotel, check in was slow as there was only one agent and he was dealing with a problem with another guest, so we waited. Once we were given our room, it was quite run down and hot, so we turned on the a/c and went to wander. When we returned, the room was still hot. Eventually, they found out the a/c was broken and moved us to a nicer room with a/c. I was glad they upgraded us for the trouble. Also, the bathrooms were very clean and comfortable in both rooms. Every balcony has a sea view, which we enjoyed. Steps away from the hotel are chairs for sunning and stairs into the sea for swimming. Breakfast buffet had a sizable number of options. The hotel is a reasonable walk into Piran with a couple of very good local restaurants within a few minutes walk on the esplanade--Veduta Bernadin to the left and Pri Polonci to the right. There is also a free shuttle that runs from the Fornace parking lot across from Pri Polonci to Piran and back approximately every 15 minutes. Of the three 5-star hotels we visited on this trip, this hotel was our least favorite.

Nice hotel, clean and has everything you need. Buffet food could be improved in that pasta and other hot food often was only warm, not hot, so tasted average. Good breakfast buffet. Quiet, great balconies overlooking the sea. Lovely bar outside on the 11th floor.

the food in the restaurant was awful, hard cold vegetables and poor choice - very disappointing. We had to eat out, although we had paid for HB, as could not face the poor food (worst Ive ever known in the Adriatic). Reception staff were VERY rude and NOT friendly at all - when we checked out they did not even ask if we had a nice stay. They tried to charge us extra for a registration fee which I refused to pay - terrible. WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN & WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

This hotel has an amazing view over the Adriatic Sea, looking toward Italy in one direction and Croatia the other. It is built down the side of a cliff so every room faces the sea. The hotel is situated between the two tourist towns of Portotoz and Piran, so it’s a hike of 15 to 30 minutes to go to either - this is where the shops restaurants etc are located. There is a free shuttle every 5 mins or so to Piran which makes it easy. The hotel has free parking which is convenient. The hotel is Grand in it foyer and public spaces and is set up as a conference venue. Rooms are as expected for this type of hotel and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, and can recommend the hotel.

Grand Hotel for family stay
Great, comfortable 5 star hotel in ideal location between Portoroz and Piran. Safe, clean and not overcrowded beach with nice indoor swimming pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Best hotel in this part of Slovenia- would definitely stay again!

This hotel has seen better days. The rooms are outdated and shabby. It is filled with mostly Russian guests on all-inclusive packages. However, it is on an attractive location, and the breakfast was quite good. The rooms and hotel (except lobby) are in a desperate need of an update.

The hotel is a somewhat dated but still quite nice hotel on the Adriatic coast. There is a nice walking path right outside the hotel, and the ocean is good for swimming. The food at the hotel was ok but not great. Wifi was spotting in the room.

Good value hotel with good facilities.
A pleasant stay. Hotel is clean and tidy with a good range of bars and restaurants. The room that I had was of an adequate size althoigh the TV and available channels could be improved. The hotel occupies an excellent beach side location. Swimming pool could be larger.

Very helpful, courteous and professional staff who are all multilingual! Every request was met with a sincere desire to please. I felt very pampered and cared for during my stay - very relaxing and enjoyable! I will be back! The front desk staff, concierge and bellboys were extremely accommodating, as well as the restaurant manager and wait staff. Overall it was a relaxing, enjoyable, and recharging weekend! Thank you!

Great hotel good base for touring the area.
The Hotel is an excellent choice for visiting Piran & Portaroz which are both walking distance away. Parking a car is done for you very efficiently by the hotel bellboys. Food in the Hotel is buffet style and very good but a little repetitive. Would have preferred silver service in 5* hotel. The back of the hotel could do with updating there is a smell of drains outside not a fault of the hotel. The Hotel staff generally are excellent and very helpful and determined to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

My stay at hotel BR was OK
Good location & friendly, helpful staff. Room comfortable. Overall experience ruined by transfer from hotel to airport with company GoOpti (very late, dropped passenger off at wrong location and locked one passenger out of bus when he complained about the service, very rude). Hotel needs to fix this problem fast!
