"It's conveniently located with plenty of affordable dining options and markets nearby. It's a nice 30-minute stroll to the city center or to the Thames River. The 2 bedroom place itself was nicely remodeled. The city could do a better job maintaining the sidewalks."

"Superb hospitality here and the staff were extremely helpful. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. For those travelling by train, it takes about 25-30mins to walk into the centre of Reading, but is only 10 mins by bus and these are frequent. I stayed here on a work trip. I would have liked a bath to relax into at the end of a long day, but I guess you can't have everything!"
"Good quick check in .. very polite staff and helpful .. room was fine but does need some tlc .. bed was comfy .. quiet nights sleep .. very dog friendly .. "
"Unfortunately the house has seen better times, the flooring is in a bad state of of repair, sockets hanging of the walls and what looks like telephone cables loose and not connected, luckily we did not have young children with us otherwise I would have said unsafe.
There was no heating or hot water in the property and whilst the host offered to get someone in on the 2nd night there was still no hot water which meant the family had to find alternatives.
It’s also worth noting that whilst we booked the whole house we were left just 3 small towels, in hindsight it was a good job there was no hot water.
After paying what felt like quite a bit, we were expecting a little more from what was a tired and somewhat grubby property, leaving us very disappointed and we certainly won’t be returning."
