Perfect location to play Cruden Bay Golf Club. Owners were genuinely wonderful hosts and people. They couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay!

Nice place to stay for golfers playing Cruden Bay/St. Olaf. Very convenient and you can see part of the course from the hotel.

The room was clean and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. It was close the golf club, hiking trail, and it has a pub. Stewart and his wife are great hosts.

Lovely kind host.
Very welcoming host, we had an extremely early start to day after our stay and as a result Alison made us a packed lunch. A lovely very kind touch, overall the stay was fab at a great price.

Brilliant for family stay.
Brilliant all around. Welcoming and helpful hosts. Spacious well equipped rooms. Great food, generous portions. Excellent, quiet location with castle ruins and walks along cliffs nearby.

Relaxed in Cruden Bay
Easy check and comfortable, homely, hotel. Quiet with good food. Short walk to Kilmarnock Arms Hotel where Bram Stoker wrote initial short stories that lead to Dracula... Bay is stunning, short walk across cliff for closer look at Slains Castle

great find
Stunning views from my extremely clean comfortable room. I arrived late the first evening however having phoned ahead, the chef had made me up a delicious prawn salad, which I was able to enjoy with a glass of wine in the restaurant even though the kitchen was closed. Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. I will definitely use again. Thank you

In current climate couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by host and foom was amazing overlooking the golf course amazing place with super comfy beds

Well done, St Olaf.
The hotel had just re-opened after lockdown, consequently I was the only guest for 3 of my 4 nights there. Alison diligently ensured that I was welcomed and that everything was good for my stay. The room was spacious, airy and was very clean. The views across the golf links, Cruden Bay and the North Sea from the room are perfect. I plan to return.

The St. Olaf was my home base for a trip to Cruden Bay and a trip to Peterhead Golf Club. The staff was helpful and the food was delicious. Ihad a golf course facig room that was huge.

Last minute accommodation and we were afforded the best room in the house! Above-and-beyond service .. excellent food! Historic and charming .. we would certainly enjoy staying here again!

Beautiful location overlooking the Cruden Bay golf course and the North Sea. Reception friendly. A busy and efficient B&B and restaurant/pub business. Room and bathroom served our needs but mattress too soft for me. Extractor fan in kitchen recommended to reduce cooking smells.

The building itself is a wonder with comfortable, clean rooms. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. The food was delicious. The view of the bay and castle are beautiful. We wish we had more time to spend in Cruden Bay and St. Olaf's.
