"This was a magical stay. I could not recommend this place more. The lady of the chateau Christine was amazing. Recommended what should be a Michelin star restaurant for dinner called the The Drunken Camel. Amazing meal. The chateau makes you feel like a scene out of Downton Abbey. "Wonderful hidden gem. This is a retirement home where rooms are let to tourists in the same complex. I’ve seen people being negative about this but I’ve no idea why ! "I enjoyed my stay, but in a previous comment I mentioned this was felt more of a B&B than a hotel stay. I had a great room, stayed close to the Old City, one of the best breakfasts at any hotel (or B&B) ever. There was another couple there that helped me. The hostess does not speak much English and my French is maybe grade school. The other couple helped with the language and made the stay very good and memerable. And the Honeysuckle at the front door smelled amazing."

"Beautifully designed home with plenary of room for 9. Gorgeous kitchen and pool area. Bocce ball court and ping pong. Didn’t want to leave the house! Loved the AC in all rooms and the touches of home. Would recommend highly to large group or family. Close to downtown, bakery, Carrefore. Only downfall is noise from the street for the front house."

Parking can be a challenge as free parking is very difficult to find close to the hotel unless you are very lucky. I do not like the bed I had on my last stay, very very firm and I like firm. "
