Hotel fine/ Hotels.com is mismanaged.

The personnel at the hotel were very accommodating and lovely people. They helped with a few of the issues we had. The breakfast did not look substantial enough to warrant the price and the rooms were basically the size of a large closet. The bathrooms did not have any soap or wash cloths on the sink yet it was clean and maintained by the room steward quite nicely. This hotel was a second choice after our first one was canceled mysteriously probably by the hotel Eiffel Rive Gauche because we had booked at such a low rate. hotels.com did not verify a mysterious cancellation with us and we lost our three nights in Paris that would’ve been in a much better location. This hotel we stayed at was quite far from where we would’ve been originally booked. hotels.com cannot give us any answers as to why they can’t provide information as to who canceled our reservation. They offered $100 coupon which was ridiculous because the price of the rooms that we had booked out had gone up substantially over the year to three times the price. This hotel was the least expensive that we could find and had to serve our purposes although it was not convenient to the attractions we were signed up to see. There will still be some legal matters with hotels.com given that they allowed for a cancellation without verifying on any level with us. And when we did speak to them and told them that we had not canceled they said great have a great trip. But the room had been canceled and we were stuck.

Horrific stay

The rooms were TINY and in general the hotel was way too overpriced for what it was. The AC didn’t work on the first day, so I asked the staff for help. They guaranteed that it would be fixed by the time I was back, then when I returned I was literally told that they’re not going to do anything about it nor change my room. They said I can open the window to sleep, but there was scaffolding directly outside the window and literally anyone could just climb up the ladder and walk into my room. When I brought this up I was guaranteed (again) that it’s safe… their reasoning was that all the AC is connected and other guests might complain. I don’t know how that’s relevant to mine NOT WORKING in the middle of a heatwave, nor why other guests simply can’t turn theirs off if they’re too cold, but no other explanation was given. On the second day of my 2 day business trip, the fire alarm went off at 6am so all the guests went downstairs. And without any notice or acknowledgment it was just turned off and we all meandered back to our rooms wondering if it’s even safe to do so. The staff were very friendly, but absolutely indifferent to my totally reasonable complaints. Don’t let my polite wording mislead you. With the room being as small as it is, with nothing but scaffolding for a view, in the middle of a heatwave, combined with the fire alarm, meant my stay was rather horrific. I’ve retroactively CU singed previous 1 star reviews on hotel to 2 stars as this hotel set the bar low

Det var hyggelig personalet, men hotellet ble pusset opp i frokost rommet og 2-3 etasje, som var ganske synlig når man tok heisen. Eller trapp En av dagene var det ikke brød kaffe eller jus i rommet å få en halv time etter at den frokost tiden starten, en dag var eggekokeren akurat satt på og ikkevarm nok, tredje dag var det ikke jus, og eggene manglet helt. Ikke akurat et fyldig frokostbuffet altså. Stod annerledes i annonsen, så føler meg urt egentlig. Renslig på rommet var det.
