"If ever your heart longs for an iconic Tuscan getaway, La Calla will fill your every dream. From arrival, my wife and I were greeted by Lulu, Luca and Maya, our hosts well mannered family dog. The privacy of the house, property & grounds were more than described with very clean and comfortable beds & bathrooms (w oh so quiet AC), a well appointed kitchen (we love to cook), the best swimming pool ever & stunning views in all directions.Our host couple foraged in the local mountains and gave us some precious porcini mushrooms. Delicious. We told Lulu we were interested in visiting an olive press farm down the road and she called ahead. We we happened to make a visit the proprietor welcomed us and gave us a tour of her oil press. We happily bought 4 bottles that we brought home with us. So spicy and delicious.This is a multi-generational compound. While we were there the grandfather harvested grapes from his vineyard and then processed them, de-stemming the clusters, pressing the grapes and pumping the juice into a vat to begin the fermentation process. He was very gracious to allow us to watch. The location made for easy drives to Anghiari, Cortona, Siana, Sansepolcro (huge grocery store), Orvieto, Arezzo and may other nearby Tuscan & Umbrian towns. That being said, above all else the amazing quiet, serenity and views with our morning coffee. All this and 9 hours sleep every night!Needless to say, we loved our visit and would love to do it all again!"

"Our trip started with great communication from Veronica including all the directions and info we needed. When we arrived up the driveway we were blown away by the setting and property. Veronica and Marcello were there to greet us and show us around the beautiful property. The pool, gardens and outdoor areas are stunning with multiple areas of sun, shade, lounging and eating places. The inside of the house it well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The shower is fab and the kitchen is well equipped with great quality pans, utensils and knives. The wifi is great and covers the whole pool area as well as inside. The views from the huge picture windows in the living area are amazing. We had some of the best food we have ever had prepared by Veronica and Marcello and their hospitality is unrivaled. The local area is wonderful with many beautiful villages and small towns in easy distance. Thank you for a wonderful stay. "
