"Off the beaten track was the perfect place to stay while we explored Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. It's quiet and private, and not too far of a drive from restaurants and coffee shops. Wendy and David were excellent hosts. They helped us find the turnoff when we arrived after dark and were easy to contact via text or phone. Overall, this was a relaxing quiet retreat - exactly what we'd hoped for!"

The home is located in a semi-rural development near the park, so it can be tricky to navigate the narrow roads. "General speaking, this hotel/resort is in very good condition. However, it's not good if you need to find a restaurant in a hurry as there is no one nearby. Another inconvenience is that we found out the hotel did not provide shampoo, conditioner or body wash even for short stay guests. You can buy a small package for $3 in the office but it's not open after hours. "
