"This was our second stay at the cottage & it fits our needs very well. We are hoping to return on a regular basis, as it’s perfect for our needs. However, I do think there is room for improvement - spruce things up a little. The property could do with a deep clean. The surface cleaning is fine, but the taps, carpets, chairs and cushions, for example, could do with a good clean to remove stains. - The microwave is very old, as are a lot of the utensils and it would be a good idea to replace these. - it would be nice to have loungers for the outside, as the plastic chairs aren’t comfortable and a bbq would be a welcome addition. Having said this, we wouldn’t keep returning if we didn’t love it, which we absolutely do & I will actually be booking again today. Coming back to the cottage felt like our little home from home & it was lovely to know exactly what we would find. I would definitely recommend this property to others … but not until I’ve got my bookings in please . Theresa"

"Byways was simply wonderful. A totally quirky, comfortable and curious place to stay. So spacious, it surprised us! Great for friends or a big familly get together. We loved all the train detailing, the old carriage walls with beautiful inlay. And the secret bedroom. Outside was equally spacious, lots of seating in the garden, and a great table tennis table, that became a source of huge fun. The proximity to the beach was lovely, and we walked by the sea every eve looking at all the quirky houses! The Lifeboat pub was great for food. The local Fish and chip shop was a top choice for crispy fish and chips. Delicious. We will return.!"

"Lovely place, we stayed for 4 nights. Everything you could possibly imagine was in the Studio. Very comfortable bed as well. "

"Beautiful property. Perfect for our party of seven attending Goodwood Revival once more. There is nothing to object in general. A few details can be improved: Provide serving trays. Fix outdoor lights. Fix air conditioner. A better cleaning of spider webs inside and out. Second double bed was all broken and mattress would fall into its hole. Provide a Nespresso coffee machine with pods which can be obtained locally. We ran out of them and none in Chichester. No drinking water jugs. No firewood to light a fire inside. No coal for barbecue outside. No outdoor ashtrays. There is no wooden sign at the entrance to the driveway from the main road with the home's name. Friends got lost finding the location. Communication with anyone administering this property is not the best. It would be great to have all instructions in writing. Seniors like ourselves are not that savvy with apps and emails. However, these are details and we would rent again."
