Which area of Padstow is best to stay in for pet-friendly hotels?
The best areas to stay in Padstow for pet-friendly hotels are within the town centre itself or just a short walk away, particularly around the harbour and up the hill towards the approach roads.

Padstow town centre, especially the areas immediately surrounding the harbour, is the main hub. It's very walkable, with narrow streets leading to the bustling quay where fishing boats and ferries come and go. Many of the town's independent shops, pubs, and restaurants are concentrated here, making it convenient to pop out for a meal or to browse.

Couples travelling with a dog will find the town centre appealing. Many establishments, including pubs and cafes, welcome well-behaved dogs, especially in their outdoor seating areas. Being close to the harbour means easy access to the Camel Trail for riverside walks, and the ferry to Rock offers another option for exploring the local area with your pet.

For those who prefer a slightly quieter spot but still want to be within easy reach of the town's amenities, properties just a little further up the hill from the harbour offer a good balance. These locations often provide nice views and are typically a short, pleasant stroll down to the main attractions.

You can join the path directly from Padstow harbour and head towards Wadebridge, with many spots along the way where your dog can enjoy the water. It's a great choice for couples who enjoy long walks together with their furry companion.

For beach lovers, many of the beaches around Padstow welcome dogs year-round, though some have restrictions during peak summer months. Hawkers Cove and Harbour Cove, both accessible via the coastal path or a short drive, are particularly good for dogs as they offer expansive sandy areas for running and playing, and the water is generally calm. These beaches are great for families with dogs, as there's ample room for everyone to enjoy the sand and sea.

When planning your outings, always check local signage for any seasonal restrictions on beaches, especially during the main holiday season.
