Apartments in Orchid Island

"Said my card was declined for the $50 when I had plenty of money on my card. They would not accept a different card either. It was 4am and there hotel is in the middle of nowhere and I was not able to pull up my bank account b/c of WiFi issues also. I never end up staying and had to sleep in my car in the parking lot b/c the guy had no idea what he was doing at the front desk. Very inconsiderate and terrible customer relations. "

"Parking was OK not a lot of it to choose from. The room was clean, but very outdated and a lot of the lightbulbs weren’t working. Tub didn’t drain when the shower was on unit needed some work."

"Rooms are clean and fine. It won’t get totally dark in the room because there are no curtains. Just blinds that don’t close all the way. Food was decent but nothing special. Staff was very nice though. "

"The beach is steps away from the hotel!! Magnificent! Beach chairs and umbrellas were put on the beach daily and that was wonderful. Shops and great restaurants in abundance within a 5 minute car ride "

"It did the job. I wanted a hotel with a water view. Our room was clean and you could consider it updated but for $1500 for 4 days seemed a bit steep for that type of hotel. It’s a great spot on the water but don’t expect fancy. The hotel is old and there are carpets in the hallways that stayed dirty. I don’t think it was a lack of employees doing their job though. All the employees were great hardworking people. Those carpets need to go. "

"First of all, the pictures shown are not updated, the hotel says and shows a common area with tables and TV...that is non existent, it was removed after COVID. If you want this hotel bevause of the direct access to the beacj dont book it, the access is closed...there is no beach walking distance from the hotel. Because there is erosion...no sand at the beach and the city is doing some renovations until May. When I called the hotel before my due date to cancel to ask for chair and access to the beach nobody told me it was closed. The TV in oir room was not working, they said the internet connection in that room gives trouble, so we could not watch TV. The last night of our stay we noticed thatnthe door of our room did not closed properly...you can open it just by pushing it. Cannot complain about the staff , they where really nice and the hotel was clean...a little rusty...needs some care but it was clean. I could not cancel because they still will charge me."
