"Check in was very smooth with the computer in the lobby. Breakfast was great. And yes, the bathroom doors are frosted in the middle, clear otherwise, with no lock, and aren't suitable for families. One of the two air conditioner units worked. The communication by messaging with the hotel was slow, and didn't get resolved before our 2 night stay was completed. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a couple of issues that weren't deal breakers."

"The staff was great although they didn’t have enough knowledge about transportation or places of interest. Carpet was extremely all throughout the hotel. The lighting in the room was too strong and in one’s face. One usb outlet didn’t work. The iron board was too dented and the iron was cracked and chipped off at the tip that it could rip your clothes. Not enough towels because they don’t dry quick enough after a shower. "

"The owner and staff were always easily accessible, knowledgeable and helpful. Quiet relaxed atmosphere 10 minutes by train from the old historic part of Lucerne and the train was free. My room looked out over horse pastures which was a great departure for the crowed noisy streets of downtown areas. The chef had over 40 years of experience and the dinners he prepared were delicious. Best place I stayed in three countries."
