"Casa Uno was an absolutely fantastic place for our family of four. The home is incredibly spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, including a washer and dryer which made a big difference for us. You can tell Liz and Sergio have poured a lot of love and attention to detail into every part of the home. The plunge pool is perfect for cooling off, and the sunset views are simply stunning—something we looked forward to every evening.One of the best parts is the location. The beach is literally just steps out the back door, and the calm water makes it ideal for smaller kids to play safely. At night, the beach comes alive with sand crabs, which was such a fun and unique experience. Communication from the hosts was excellent from start to finish.The only “cons” really have nothing to do with the home itself, but more with visiting during Semana Santa. The beach was very crowded, and we had a few people wander onto the property thinking the steps led to public access. There was also a lot going on nearby—vendors calling out all day, extra foot traffic, and even some unexpected “lack of awareness” from people in the parking area next door. A few beachgoers also used the neighborhood pool when the beach got too full.That said, none of this reflects on the house or hosts. Despite being the first home in the community and seeing a bit more traffic, we always felt completely safe. Casa Uno is truly a special place, and we’d absolutely stay here again!"

"Wonderful property, gorgeous views from the balcony including lots of bird and even monkeys! Snorkeling from the beach was exactly what we had hope for (several different colourful fishes and swimming in schools of fish). A rental car made the stay worryfree as we were able to head to Coco whenever we needed anything. Sunset colors were gorgeous in Ocotal but we couldn't see the sunset directly on the horizon. A drive over to Playa Hermosa one evening, checked that off of our trip bucket list.Communication with staff was excellent. Would gladly stay here again!"

"The condo is nice and compact. I've never seen a place with so many towels. They seemed to be in all the drawers! There was also a nice assortment of fry pans, which you don't always get at rentals. We were dismayed, on arriving on a Friday afternoon, to hear loud music blaring for hours from Father Rooster's. A walk on the beach was also jarring, although the sunset was beautiful.The next day, without the noisy background, the beach was much more hospitable, and the kids had a good time snorkeling and swimming. The grounds boasts a lot of birds, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had dipped a bit out of our price range, so probably won't return, but in all it was quite an enjoyable stay. "

"You can see the ocean and a little beach. We didn’t do any cooking. The owner was showing a tradesman around the yard during our stay but for the most part, the yard is very private."

"All our family rated this as one of the best vacations we've had so far. The property was as advertised with unbeatable views and near proximity to several local beaches. Everyone, particularly the kids, enjoyed jumping into the pool anytime and walking to a beach every day. The house had a well-stocked kitchen, outdoor kitchen with grill/burners, and with plenty of dishes, pots/pan, utensils even for serving/preparing meals for a crew of 18. The catered meals we had were generally well prepared and promptly delivered. We had rental cars making it very convenient each day to go to the local town Coco for groceries and supplies. Getting to nearby tourist activities and LIR airport was also easy and not an issue. The layout of the house has "open" living/common areas, so it is necessary to keep food secured as the wildlife (birds) are extremely opportunistic. There were a few maintenance issues with the house but Julia, the host, was always promptly responsive and great to work with. She and her staff, provided top-notch, friendly service whenever needed. While the house is situated in a nice area, there is a busy traffic road below (with some construction nearby). During certain times of the day (morning, evening) it does get noisy from traffic and mixed in with the wildlife (birds/monkeys etc.). But most hours were generally peaceful. I would recommend this property for a large group get together for a comfortable, relaxing good time. "
