"Many maintenance issues: AC not working in first room, very weak in second. Elevator often out of service. Lack of water. Room key card not working. No hot water. No water in toilet. Found several cockroaches in room. Gym over 85 degrees. I'm generally ok with Rui buffet, but this time food was not fresh, everything looked like a reheat from prior day. Everything was brown and blaaa tasting. Specialty restaurants were good and recommended."

"Enjoyed the pools, entertainment at night with the shows, tours. Some staff members not friendly, don’t acknowledge you until you say something. “Good morning”, “good afternoon” goes a long way, it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, specially if I’m a guest at the hotel you work at. You’re having a bad day, don’t take it out on me. I’m supposed to be your guest. I used to work for the airlines for 20 years. One thing I’ve learned is customer is always right, even though you know they may be wrong sometimes, but- you always want their complete satisfaction and a repeat business. You try to make them happy. I didn’t get that here. Breakfast- had to get up to get someone’s attention to get me some coffee and cream. It wasn’t even poured for me, I did it myself. Buffet style, get your own food and drinks, thank you. When seated, ask that customer if they need anything else. They need to improve on that. "

"We loved this amazing place! We stayed all of April at Villa Narcisa, Bahia Pez Vela Resort. Hosts were very responsive and thorough in all communications. The resort is an exquisite hidden gem beachfront cove with black sand. The grounds, pools, and resturaunt are 5 star. Everything is beautiful and pristine. The staff were incredibly responsive and timely with all questions, requests to book adventures, scheduling airport shuttles and a few villa repairs needed for minor plumbing and ac issues. They fixed things right away.The office staff, maintenance, groundkeepers, and housecleaning were very attentive and helpful. The villa is beautiful, spacious, clean, modern, and very comfortable. Beds and ac in all 3 bedrooms made sleeping super comfy, The kitchen has everything you need, laundry room is nice, outdoor living space is great for entertaining or relaxing in sun or shade. Indoor and outdoor furniture is all comfortable. The outdoor experience is ethereal with 2 troops of a dozen howler monkeys lounging in the tree canopy right off the patio. The ocean view is unobstructed beach front with picturesque sunsets over the Pacific. Wildlife each night on the grounds, on the beach and in tidepools: raccoons, geckos, crabs, and octopus. There is a variety of colorful birds and sounds all day, iguanas, and a blue heron nest with babies. Snorkeling in the cove there are starfish, schools of neon fish, rays, and huge sea turtles. Its magical, ethereal and we hope to go again. "

"The property was amazing!! Having the private pool and the beach right in front of you can not be beat. The host gave detailed information that helped with our stay. The restaurant on the property was very good. We went there several times. So many great things to say! I highly recommend! We have already talked about how great it would be to go back."

"This is an absolutely wonderful place for a relaxing vacation. The villa is well appointed with beautiful ocean views. We saw many birds flying in and out of the trees in front of the patio and were visited by monkeys and the occasional iguana. It is a private space with the ability to go out to the restaurant if you want to. The upper pool is a short walk up the hill and we were alone there most of the time. The villas are on a hillside so we just drove down to the beach\restaurant\bar as there is a parking lot at the bottom. You should have a vehicle or a golf cart to access the beach. You can walk but you should be in good shape if that is your plan. A wonderful vacation spot. 5 stars!"
