Moon Palace Jamaica – All Inclusive

6/10 Okay

"I like the location as I enjoy being able to walk into town for an authentic experience. The pool area and the beach area is great, no seaweed and super soft sand. Lots of water sports available and I liked that you could take the snorkel boat right from the property. Great bathroom amenities in the room and comfy beds. We got lucky with quick check in and check out. The hydrotherapy area in the spa was very nice and relaxing but spa treatments were very overpriced, I was forgotten about in the relaxation room after my treatment for over an hour and when I got my eyebrows waxed she got dripped hot wax onto my hair and did not even attempt to get it out or apologize. The food was ok, nothing great. The jerk shack was good but the Japanese restaurant was super salty. Crepes, coffee and gelato were yummy but the cakes tasted plastic. The staff was nice and friendly. I HATED the constant sales pitch to buy into the Palace brand to get fake resort credits vs resort cash and what you could and not use the fake money for. AC seemed to stop working very well the night before we left, the loud bar was super hot and empty due to this reason. The DJ at the disco was horrible but the entertainment staff were always trying their best to get everyone involved. No non alcoholic options available . Resort does smell yummy."

"Pro and cons. My plan was to sit at the resort and not do anything else. Pros Round trip airport shuttle Food included/drinks Clear beach next door Boat/kayak Lifeguard on deck Cons Didn’t feel welcomed when dining there. The servers weren’t very friendly. There are more pros than cons, but I know customer service can either make or break your trip. This was definitely a break moment. Would I stay here again, no."

"I stayed for 1 week . The resort had everything needed for a good stay . One of the elevators was out of service , so it left 1 working . Would have been nice to have towel service and possibly a few drink huts on the beach too . Food is adequate and drinks made nicely . I probably would not bring young kids if I had them as it gets very adult like . I enjoyed most of the evening shows they provided as well"

"The view from our 5th floor ocean view was amazing. Pools and property were properly cleaned. Food was good overall but you want reservations at a restaurant make sure to book 2-3 days ahead. Lots of activities were Included so make sure to take advantage of those. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Overall we had a wonderful experience."

Sand And Tan Beach Hotel

2/10 Terrible

"First off, on arrival the room was dark and a little dated with mismatched flooring tiles. The main bed room ceiling light did not work, neither did the side table light. I called downstairs to receptionist and was informed that maintenance was gone for the day and they would send someone to change the side table light but the ceiling light would be fixed the following day. A drink credit was given for the inconvenience. No one ever came to fix the ceiling light the next day. The refrigerator didn’t work and the for an hour there was no water. I called to let them know about the refrigerator and reminded them about the ceiling light. My husband and I got to breakfast around 8:30am and was not served until 9:45am due to them only having one staff member available for breakfast. When we did get served they run out of some food items. Lunch was no different we waited about 2 hours and when we did receive our food it was cold and unedible. The refrigerator was changed the next morning and about 7pm on our final night they offered to change our room. We declined since we were checking out early the next morning. Mind you this was a busy Mother’s Day weekend you would think they would staff and have food for the reservations they had. We requested to speak to the manager but that did not happen either, bad customer service."
