Oasis Beach Tours and Activities

*There is NO way this is a 5 star resort. 3 at best* Starting with the positive: - The grounds and plants were beautiful. - The beach was beautiful, aesthetically wise. - 95% of the staff were incredibly friendly. The Negative: - Human feces in the ocean and washed up on shore, daily. Turds everywhere. Asked management about it. All except for one told me it was “turtle poop”. I’ve been to numerous beaches around the world many of which have sea turtles and never experienced turds floating. The one manager when asked if it’s human said “it’s a known issue and the government needs to step up.” For this reason alone I will never go back to the Cancún area. (Word is nearby Isla Mujeres is dumping raw sewage into the ocean) - The food was atrocious. Buffet was slop and the restaurants were a step better. Either undercooked, overcooked and most tasted like it was frozen. Barely anything was fresh. - The drink mixers were cheap and artificial. Had to stick to canned beer of which the selection was poor. They have top shelf but would default to speed rack unless specifically asked for top shelf. - The rooms stunk like mold and sewage. The sink and shower water had a putrid smell. The rooms were also very tired looking. - All of the restaurants and buildings were hot and uncomfortable to be in. - Google reviews are misleading due to individual employees asking for reviews which in turn artificially boosts the hotels ratings. I completely regret spending on this hotel.
