"Fantastic, spotless, well-equipped property. The villa is in an ideal location to serve as a base for visiting the sights in Tuscany and beyond, or chilling out. The pool, while shared, was never busy. It's about a 15 minute walk up the hill to the bars and restaurants in Montecarlo. About 15 mins drive to the local supermarket in Pescia. Could not have been better - would love to return!"

"Our family of six (five adults and a baby) just returned from a truly unforgettable 7-night stay at this extraordinary country house north of Lucca. The views are simply breathtaking...rolling hills, ancient churches, and a medieval hamlet stretch as far as the eye can see, and no photo can capture the magic of sitting by the infinity pool at sunset.The house is a beautifully restored 1700s farmhouse that blends authentic Tuscan charm with modern luxury. "A wonderful week in Franco's villa. Lovely location - we did the walk up to Montecarlo most days to sample some of the local restaurants and coffee shops - and an easy drive into Altopascio for food shopping. The villa was well laid out for a group of 13 of us ranging from 9 to 49 and pretty well equipped including pool inflatables and sun loungers for the lovely infinity pool. Franco was very helpful and hospitable. Only slight criticisms are that the aircon on the top floor is not really strong enough to support the. 38 degree weather we had, plastic cups would be useful for the kids and around the pool (we picked some up at the supermarket) and an electric car charging point would be amazing as there appear to be a lot locally which don't work!All in all however, a great house and we all had a brilliant time. "

"The farmhouse was perfect for our stay! The layout, with a bathroom for each bedroom, wide open gathering spaces, and a workable kitchen made for a very comfortable stay for us, our adult kids and toddler granddaughter. The farmhouse decor was lovely, and the grounds and pool allowed for plenty of space for relaxation. We very much enjoyed the olive oil tour and tasting, dinner at the associated restaurant, and the easy access to the town of Montecarlo. We did drive to convenient parking to visit the town, because of the winding, hilly road. It is a lively medieval town, with great options for restaurants and strolling the quaint streets. We took day trips to visit Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre, the Garfagnana mountain area, and Siena. Communication before and during the trip with Arianna was super helpful! This stay truly made for a magical family experience. "
