"Wir haben die letzten 3 Tage unseres Urlaubes in Kristiansand verbracht. Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gefallen. Alles was man so braucht, ist vorhanden. Wir haben uns gleich bei Ankunft ein paar Waffeln gemacht und den Nachmittag genossen. Ein wenig herausfordernd war die etwas schmale Auffahrt für unser Auto (Ioniq5); da mussten wir schon ganz genau zirkeln. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fürs nötigste sind in der Nähe vorhanden, fussläufig gibt es eine Badestelle an der Otra, die wir auch genutzt haben...

"The apartment and its terrace has fantastic views of the fjord, but since it is located in the basement, it is badly ventilated and has a particular smell. The fireplace is definitely a plus (there is also enough firewood provided by the host), but unfortunately you can’t open a window in the living room to make sure that there is enough oxygen (so you have to open the front door).The bathroom has been renovated quite recently, so it is modern and clean. "The location is great but is up a steep hill or many steps. The street is beautiful, as is the neighbourhood and the bed is comfortable. I’m sure the accommodation was perfect when it was set up but now I think it needs a bit of a retouch as it’s a bit dated. Cleanliness: not ideal. When we arrived there was old food left in the fridge, food stains on the wall and old food left on the scrubbing brush. Furniture: the aim is clearly for a cozy feel but the organisation could be vastly improved....

"Great place slightly removed from the noisy city center (~30-minute walk through interesting neighborhoods—we like to walk!—or 14 minutes by easy public transport) with a local neighborhood feel, a pretty river close by, and convenient services (grocery stores, an excellent bakery). "Beautiful hotel in Tromso and just a year old! Lovely room, staff. Outstanding breakfast with lots of choices including omelette station and barista making all kind of coffees. We enjoyed just sitting in the lobby around the fire when it was raining. The sauna/cold plunge/steam room and outdoor jacuzzi are a must!! On our final night we had a stupendous dinner at Upper Dock Brasserie & Bar! Amazing views and delicious food. Only downside was paper napkins at a restaurant of this level. I forgot my pillow there and they quickly arranged to have it sent back home. Can't wait to go back!!!"

"The hotel was excellent and served its purpose as a base for a few days. The overall hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. I want to single out the three staff who worked in the hotel bar on Sunday 5 July. The restaurant was closed. The bar was short staffed and the three people who were working went above and beyond. The bar was full due to the World Cup football match. Customers were lining up to come in, wanting food and drinks and a place to watch the game. The staff accommodated as many as they could. Offered food and drinks and dealt with the overwhelming number of customers, in a professional and friendly manner. I understand that they were short staffed but the two men and one woman didn’t get flustered or upset. They went above and beyond serving way more people than was expected and doing it with a smile on their face. While I am sorry I do not know their names, I hope management review the work roster and provide these people with an official acknowledgment of the work they performed. Thank you."
