"The host was very accommodating to us and we appreciate his kindness very much. The house has lovely big rooms. We did feel that the heating system was not well-balanced (upstairs was very warm, main floor was cool, and lower level was unusable because of the cold. Various other things need attention: loose door knob, “singing” toilets, non-functioning RO system. But none of that kept us from having a great time."

"The home is beautiful and the views are amazing! We had a group of 12 and everyone had their own bedroom with a private bath. We enjoyed an early Thanksgiving dinner together all seated around the large dining table. The butler pantry with additional oven, sink, etc. was a huge help. It was a great spot to play games as well. Mark was very helpful and responded quickly as was Joe, the ranch hand. We would definitely stay here again."

"We booked this home last minute for the long weekend and was underwhelmed by the online pictures. We were pleasantly surprised - the house is so much nicer than the photos depict. Some of the furniture is a little dated but the house is lovely and the screened porch is divine! Well equipped kitchen. Huge primary suite that we didn’t use because we stayed upstairs to be near our kiddos. Beautiful big grassy back yard. Highly recommend taking a walk/hike on the trail that you can access by taking a left out of the cul de sac. It goes through a meadow and dips into a forest and climbs back out just across the street from the owner’s club. We took this route with our dog to go to the Sunday Farmer’s Market (last one for the season, boo). Saw a flock of turkeys in the backyard and heard a coyote one night. Stargazing was wonderful from both the back deck and the front driveway. Minor issue: weather was beautiful but some windows couldn’t be opened and other bc the handle was broken (upstairs back bedroom) or because there were no screens (kitchen/dining). Would stay again. "

"House came with a lot of great amenities and easy access to hikes! 20 minutes outside of downtown Galena, so a great location for a quiet weekend away."
