"Our stay at the GrandWest Arashiyama was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, reception was incredibly helpful, and the location was quiet and idyllic. During our stay we made the most of the amenities including free refreshments, a washing/drying machine, and a cute cafe situated just downstairs from the hotel entrance. Our stay here was easily one of the best parts of our trip to Japan and I highly encourage those visiting Arashiyama to consider this hotel!"

"Kenji was a very nice host and his "guest house English" speaking was wonderful!! It is a perfect location if you are looking to wake up early and walk to the bamboo forest, you can be one of the first people there. Kenji also gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area that you otherwise may not have known about. "

"This was such a beautiful place. It is 100% worth it for the private onsen with the stunning views alone. My partner and I had a wonderful time just spending the evening in our room. It’s right beside all the main tourist attractions of the area so they’re all walkable and the bus stop is right beside the hotel making it easily accessible. The staff is also very kind and goes out of the way to ensure the best service. The traditional beds were a bit hard to sleep on per western standards but the rest of the room made up for it. If youre afraid of bugs though you might not enjoy it as there were many cobwebs and bugs on the balcony area where the onsen is. "
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Karaksa Hotel Osaka Namba – A place I’d love to return to!
Karaksa at Osaka Namba is a hotel I would definitely come back to. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the entire place is spotless and well-kept. The room is quite spacious for Japan, especially given its convenient location near Dotonbori.
There are plenty of shopping and dining options just steps away, and I really enjoyed the sense of safety while walking around the nearby streets. The hotel also offers complimentary soft drinks, coffee, and light snacks in the lobby café — a lovely spot to relax after a long day of exploring.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere."
