From Brian's property we were able to walk to Taps restaurant, walk to Queen Bean and walk to Niagra Falls, which we did do on two occasions. We were also able to drive to Lococos Market in 5 minutes to pick up groceries (could have walked there too, really, but did not want to schlepp groceries home). The unit is adequate and generally comfortable. It has pretty much everything we needed to cook and lounge. We cooked 5 meals in 3 days. Glad there were basic spices provided but be careful of the S&P as even the sprinkle holes pour! It was in a fairly nice neighborhood with an old stone church on the corner. You could hear some tiny bit of traffic, bus and train but the unit was well insulated so no interruption in sleep. Nor did we hardly notice any other people's sounds in the building. The beds were comfortable but be warned, they had no plush top so a little extra firm. Something we did not know was that there are 13 steps from the entry of the unit up to the living areas - which was fine for us but especially good to know if you have small children or someone with a mobility issue. The kitchen is apart from the little t.v. viewing area so you can't cook and communicate unless you want to yell pretty loud, especially with the a/c on. However the kitchen is only about 15 steps from that little couch area, down a hallway. The unit had good air conditioning units and we used on the hot days. Although we understand about getting things cool using a/c we really wished we could open windows at night to let the cool fresh air inside. There is one window in the hall that we kept open at night and early mornings and it was nice to feel that fresh air! The bathtub was to die for! It is a long, deep tub with moulding for your arms to rest on. Fabulous shower, lots of pressure and we never ran out of hot water. Brian met us there when we arrived and he and my husband had a nice chat about the best way to leave to get to Buffalo International Airport (thanks Brian - we used the Peace Bridge which was a good call!). The WiFi here was good. The Roku TV was a learning curve but once dialed in was fine (we did not come to watch TV however chilling after walking many miles each day seemed to lend a need to kick back and do so!). Nice little table and chairs outdoors at the entry porch and we sat and had cocktails 3 evenings. This would be a good unit for business people, small family and maybe two couples.
