Dirty and poor customer service
Pouring down with rain. Called reception and he could not locate our booking, and asked for my credit card details over the phone up front which I felt uncomfortable as no explanation why or greeting. We asked if we could at least be let into reception under cover to sort it out but he did not allow this even though there are two codes provided. I would expect this at the very least from a customer service viewpoint. Once inside, the bathroom and bedroom had a bug infestation and used bandaid found on our blanket taken from the wardrobe (as it was cold). We booked this accommodation last minute due to two flat tyres late at night on a Sunday for which we were only able to get assistance for in the morning. I called the reception this morning to request a compassionate late c/o due to a wheel alignment booking for 10am and 4 of us here, the bad weather meant that 3 of us would be in the rain/cold again waiting. We have already had to spend money on accommodation, two new tyres, essentials for the unexpected overnight stay etc. The same man I believe as spoken to initially wanted to charge us for the extra time with no flexibility. No empathy at all. It’s times like this customer service goes a long way. I am a seasoned traveller and complimentary late c/o in a 5 star hotel is even common practice. I was willing to let gothe bandaid find and sleeping in a bug infested room under the desperatecircumstances we were in but the customer service has forced me to write this review.

Stayed here before and all OK, however this time I didn't get the room I booked (2 bedrooms - King and Twin) but got a room with two single beds. The room smelt of cigarettes, had dirty cutlery, a blocked bathroom sink, a shower tap that fell off.....etc. I messaged them - nothing. Contacted Expedia who seemed to have trouble getting through to them too.
