"Wow — what a wonderful experience staying at the Red House on Lake Buel. It exceeded every expectation. The house and the waterfront were exactly as described, and our short stay confirmed that we’ll be back for a much longer visit next summer.The great room truly is great — spacious yet cozy, with a sectional perfect for lounging and watching TV, and dining table seating that looks straight out through the sliding glass doors to the lake. Most of the time, though, we chose to eat on the screened porch, where the large table seats six comfortably (and can stretch to eight).The porch is a highlight: a completely bug free, spectacular view just five feet from the water’s edge. After dinner we’d settle into the four swivel chairs and watch evening settle over the lake. In the mornings, we enjoyed coffee while the sun came up — peaceful, quiet, perfect.During the day we spent our time between the shoreline and the private dock. The owner provides a canoe, rowboat, stand up paddleboard, and two kayaks, so exploring the lake was easy and fun. There’s even a 10-foot lily pad that became an instant favorite for floating and relaxing.We can’t wait to return next summer. We are going to bring the whole family."

"We loved everything about it. An artistic, cozy home tucked in the woods off an easily accessible road. Close to many cute towns in The Berkshires, including Tanglewood in Lenox. The most amazing feature? The creek running through the backyard. We fell asleep listening to the babbling brook and awoke to its sweet sounds. Our four days there felt like an experience of a lifetime. Can’t wait to return."

"We had a great stay here! The house is beautifully renovated, with tasteful and useful design choices. The kitchen is large and well appointed. The location was great for us— in the quaint and quiet little town of Mill River, a short walk to river swims, a bike ride away from water falls and hikes, and a short drive to all the things we wanted to do in the Berkshires. We fell asleep listening to sounds of the river each night. The owners are warm and attentive hosts. We plan to come back."

"Casa Mia was the perfect home base for our family vacation to the Birkshires. The house is comfortable, clean, and spacious. The heated pool, hot tub, fire pit, and little hiking trail offered great outdoor entertainment for us. And the area is beautiful. So nice to open the windows at night and just hear the woods. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront cottage! David was incredibly responsive, helpful, and accommodating, and he kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated.The location is truly special. The lake is beautiful, and the views must be absolutely spectacular in the fall when the foliage is at its peak. We especially enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the water—the peaceful surroundings and gentle paddle were incredibly relaxing and therapeutic.The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect place to slow down and recharge. The cottage itself is rustic, but that is part of its charm and what makes the experience feel so authentic and cozy.Overall, a wonderful getaway in a beautiful setting. We would happily come back, especially in the fall!"
