"Don't get fooled by any negative reviews you read, as my stay at The Alander was one of the best. From arrival to departure, the staff at The Alander went out of their way to make my stay wonderful. I informed the staff the morning I would be there that I would get there late. Check-in was seamless as they provided a code for your room, and the lights were turned on when I arrived. The cozy room had a cabin feel, a king bed, ample space, and plenty of amenities. Fresh ground local coffee, homemade granola, and yogurt were just a few of the small touches that set The Alander apart from other independently owned lodging I've used. The next day, when I was out, housekeeping personally texted me to ask if I needed anything. WiFi ran smoothly, and though I didn't take advantage of the firepit, next time I could definitely see sitting fireside roasting marshmallows! The Alander was great, and I certainly will stay there next time I'm in the area."

"The room was lovely, well-decorated, and very clean, with a comfortable sitting area. The whole property is lovely. The breakfast room and lounge area are also beautiful. The breakfast was delicious. The highlight of the inn, in my opinion, is the service. The staff is warm and accommodating. You are given such attention. Our room included a complimentary bottle of wine, and the inn also offered a complimentary cocktail and cognac tasting (plenty of non-alcoholic options as well). When we were looking for sightseeing options and restaurant recommendations, they were provided. We hope to be able to return."

"Don't be dissuaded by the fact that this used to be an old hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and appointed. The lobby is reminiscent of an Art Deco bar in Miami. Pony up to the bar for a crafted cocktail or morning cappuccino. Berkshires Untold is just five minutes from the shops and restaurants in Lenox and a short distance to Great Barrington, Pittsfield, Lee and Stockbridge."

"Staff made our stay enjoyable. Very friendly and extremely helpful. Wanted to check in earlier then normal. They were very helpful. Breakfast was normal chain breakfast. Very quiet hotel."

"Don’t expect the Ritz Carlton. But for the price this was a great stay. Brian the check in guy was super nice, made us feel welcome. The room was clean. Price was right. "

"A nice safe and quiet place to stay. Park right in front of your door. My dog loved the large grass area. The room was large and the beds very comfortable. The heat was on when we arrived which was great . It was cold and snowy that day. I loved having the self check-in and check out. We plan on going back the next time we are in the area. "
