An affordable townhouse, right in town!

The Location - Macadamia Court is just 200 metres from the main street of Nelson Bay for boutique shopping, cafes and restaurants and just 300 metres to the marina and Nelson Bay Beach. If you don't feel like walking to the beach, there is also a pool in the complex.

The Townhouse - This property is an affordable option in a great location. Spread over three levels, there is an air conditioned living area with flatscreen TV with a soundbar, dining area and kitchen with microwave, oven, cooktop and dishwasher. Two bedrooms with ceiling fans (queen bed, two single beds), a bathroom with a shower (no bath) and an internal laundry with a washer, dryer and an extra toilet. Plus undercover carport parking for two cars.

Accommodation

Very disappointed in state of premises. Pool looks nothing like photos. There are no hand rails on the stairs!! No instructions on how to use the cook top. Bed in main bedroom needs replacing. Also the pedestal fan and cooling towers should be replaced with air conditioners. It was very outdated. Neighbouring premises very rowdy. That combined with traffic made it very noisy.

Great Location

Quite dissapointed after calling and checking if linen was included (it does say so in info and confirmed over phone) that when we got there - no linen. It was fine if you needed a doona cover but no towels or linen provided. Bathroom light did not work (had to use phone to go to bathroom at night), only one bedsie lamp worked due to only one power point in bedroom. Bathroom sink blocked and the place did not look like it had received a good clean. We did call the agents three times but no response. On the positive side - great location and parking.

Not very good

Good loccation but unit is dated and tired. Bedrooms are hot and uncomfortable. There were very few cooking and eating utensils. Bery stingy and miserable ! Would not recommend this place.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Very baaaaaad place

It says it’s house but it’s not it’s unit It’s very bad place , the beds not clean all the unit dirty, very small nothing in the kitchen to use all the stuff are dirty it’s disgusting and also the pool sharing no BBQ AREA no smoking if you do something all the units next to you will hear it there were a old lady next to us every 5 minutes she knocks the door and keep sitting and talking to you nothing private. We never back to it again it’s disgusting

Pros - good location, neighbors are quiet and nice pool for the kids. Cons - The pictures on the website dont match the room when we arrived. The place was not cleaned properly - oily kitchen, cobwebs in all the rooms, black stains on the carpet in the living area, and very dusty. There is no air-conditioning in the bedrooms and in the middle of January it was very hot. We could not leave the windows open as the screens were broken and torn. Apart from a good clean and some minor repairs, the place needs to be fumigated as there were many cockroaches during our stay - we had to unload a full can of bug spray just so we could bear our stay.

This place would be more comfortable if there was air conditioning in the bedrooms, it is extremely hot in the upstairs. Pest control would be good as there were so many cockroaches everywhere. A few light globes were not working. Also needs a Bbq.Position was great .Pool was good.

We stayed here in Dec 2018. Living room was great,however,bedrooms could use bit of improving. Beds only had mattress protectors with no sheet at all. Wardrobes were dusty . The pool was amazing. Nice and clean.. great for kids. Neighbours were lovely..

enjoyable holiday

Very happy with the place. Pretty clean all though could do with some spider Web cleaning especially in areas as on top of the doors and windows. Great neighbours Close to the marina, shops, beaches. Down fall of the place.... too hot upstairs it needs an air con upstairs as well. We had trouble sleeping far too hot
