"We got this place for a gameday weekend. And it was the perfect retreat from the crazy busyness once the game was over. Super quiet and peaceful out in the country. That said, it takes a little longer to get back to, especially with the traffic after games. I personally think the trade-off is worth it to have a comfortable retreat. Property owner is absolutely the nicest and most responsive host. Any issues you (probably won't) have should be handled quickly."

"We stayed May 8-11, 2024 at the Whitlock Cabin as we were in town for our son's A&M graduation. The communication from the owners was excellent ahead of time. They were friendly, helpful, and joined us in celebrating the graduation with their communication including emails and a personal note when we arrived at the cabin. The cabin was spotless and just as described. There was Texas A&M decor and the beds, furniture, bathroom, outdoor areas were all well appointed and comfortable. The cabin is...

"The prior low reviews aren't very relevant, but here's my 2 cents. The house is actually very superb for the price. The parking spot sucks for a Diesel Excursion, but I made it work. The beds are semi-comfortable and sleep 6. However, the seating is only for 2-3 adults. There was also one cockroach that we found, but we're near the water, that's to be expected. I liked that I didn't have to spend extra money on pet fees and that it's not too far from I-45."
