It is a very convenient location. But hard to get in and out of and there is not enough parking. The pillows were very hard. The bathroom needs some shelves. The staff was polite and efficient.

Comfortable place to stay on a business trip
Very friendly service, convenient location traffic-wise, clean, well-maintained. There’s at least one lovely restaurant within easy walking distance.

Albergo situato di fronte a grande centro commerciale. Ben curato, accogliente, pulito. Parcheggio interno e piscina scoperta, per uso estivo. A pochi chilometri da Napoli e Caserta, ben collegato grazie alla super strada situata a 300 metri.

This place is terrible. The staff treated my wife and I very differently than the European guest. The bathtub leaked everyday so we had to go elsewhere to bathe. The housekeepers would not provide us hand soap and kicked our shoes and clothes around the room. The halls would randomly smell of cigarettes and marijuana. The staff repeatedly turned off the AC in our room and refused to turn it back on. My wife and I ended up checking out of the room early and found somewhere else to stay. I do not recommend this place.

Very good hotel with nice staff!
Very good stay for four nights, of which one night in a standard room and three nights in the Deluxe Suite. Although the price difference the rooms weren't very different. I would even say the quality of the air-conditioning and the comfort of the bed in the standard room was better. The only thing extra was a little bit more space and a balcony with pool view and of course the jacuzzi which is why we chose the room in the first place. Next time I'd stay one night in the Deluxe suite and three nights in the standard room instead. Overall we didn't have any problems and we had a nice stay! Directly outside the gates of the hotel it is a not very nice area. If you have a car, no problem, but I rather locked the car doors from inside before leaving the hotel by car. Inside the hotel you don't notice anything about this and I felt really safe. The breakfast is simple but for us it had everything we needed and we were very happy with it. If there is something missing, like milk, don't hesitate to ask and one of the employees will rush to a local shop to buy it for you if they don't have it (like in our case, thank you!). For the swimming pool outside apparently you need a hygiene cap on your head which you have to buy if you don't have it but in the end we didn't even use the pool, (pool is open daily from 0830-1800) there was too much to see and do in Naples! If you have car and don't mind to stay more affordable with the same luxury a little bit outside of the city, come here!

Amazing hotel
After reading some reviews I must admit I was a little nervous about coming to Hotel Smeraldo, however, the staff were amazing made us feel so welcome the minute we arrived. The rooms were immaculate and so clean and cleaned daily. There were kids next to one of our rooms and we could not hear a thing so I would highly recommend staying here if you like a family friendly hotel. I do recommend finding some source of travel to and from the hotel as I didn’t notice any busses. 100% thanks again!

We were first put in a nasty room that was attached to but not part of the main hotel and looked nothing like advertised. The old carpeted floor was soaked, the room smelled musty, the bathroom was dirty, the bed was solid with no give, and had two flat pillows, the window was blocked/painted over so you didn’t see the shabby location outside, and we had no WiFi which was our only means of communication in Italy. It was apparent very quickly that if you are not repeat customers the property doesn’t care to make your stay comfortable. This is unsettling in a foreign country particularly when the property is located in a sketchy area. We told them that room wouldn’t work since we needed WiFi, and after the annoyed night clerk said he might have something, we suddenly had a very nice room that actually looked like the website, with a completely different setup in the main part of the hotel. The bed was far more comfortable with soft clean linens and pillows, and there was a nice deep tub/shower and clean bathroom. The floor was hard/wood so it wasn’t soaked like the carpet in the first room. We got WiFi if we stood near the door. It was like being in a completely different hotel. Breakfast was delicious! The main premises of the hotel were beautiful with covered patios and flowers that sort of hid the conditions of the surrounding area. The hotel is gated for a reason but it seems the hotel takes care to make sure you are safe.

Good evening, we are sorry for the incident but you probably did wrong to review hotel, as we do not have rooms with old carpeted floors, much less rooms outside the hotel. We are sorry but you have definitely missed the hotel

Great bargain if you have a rental car
Unless you have a rental car this hotel is really not for you. However; with a rental car this hotel is perfect. It is just off a motorway and opposite a shopping centre. It's close to everything by car; 25 minutes to the airport, 20 minutes to Naples, 30 minutes to MT Vesuvius and 40 minutes to Pompeii. Hotel staff were lovely and friendly and it was clean. Breakfast is very basic, croissants and toast but you can't complain about a breakfast included. Only issue was that it is clearly used as a place for people to bring prostitutes, me and my girlfriend found it funny with the moaning women but It's certainly not a family hotel.

A little deceiving
The pool does not open until June and everyone was expecting it to be open since that is how it is advertised. There is a mall walking distance away however it is not an easy area to get around you must have a car

Rooms at this hotel were very inexpensive and was close to the local mall. But the area was not conveniently situated near attractions. The local area was also very dirty, with garbage piled on the side of roads and highways. The walls of the hotel was also very thin and we were able to hear everything going on in the rooms and hallways of the entire floor.

Clean and convenient hotel
Good clean place with attentive staff. The room was nice but the bed was stiff. The staff were what really made our stay. We were able to upgrade our room at a reduced rate (fantastic as we were on honeymoon and had been staying in budget campgrounds for several weeks). The staff were also able to recommend several local restaurants who were delicious and amazingly well priced. The hotel is also within walking distance of a shopping mall with a great grocery store. Recommended.

Good place in a central but bus location, did need to hit the shower with some stuff to knock back some mold in the corners but it was a huge room & bath with frig. & A/C. They even gave me a wine bucket full of Ice when I asked for it. The breakfast has some of the best fresh & warm cressants I've had anywhere.

The hotel was easy to find and check in took just a minute. The lobby was small and cozy. There was also a nice sitting area outside. The room was small but had a small fridge. The bed and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. There was a nice rain shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was included and consisted of coffee and croissants. There is a mall and grocery store within sight of the hotel. There is a pool, but it was closed due to construction. The hotel was in a quiet area.

The hotel was clean inside and had a secure parking lot, but the location was horrible. Staying here showed a truly disgusting side of the Naples area. We only stayed the 2 nights we had booked because the room was clean, but was happy to be out of that area. Also, the wifi only worked in the lobby.

Hotel in the middle of nowhere.
Stayed two nights. The hotel is in Qualiano, far from Neaples. It's necessary to take a taxi (30 minutes) to get to and from the hotel.

Our stay was indeed disturbing to say the least. Could not sleep until 4.0am. The two rooms oppoiste us had people in and out many times all through the night. The repitative noises that were clearly audible were of couple having staged intimacy to be gaurded in my description. You need to make your own conclusion.

I travel a lot and stayed in manyn hotels around the world. But this hotel is the worse. No matter how clean and how this and that you need a good night sleep. Two of the rooms across from me had people in and out most of the night. Not only this but their female guests were making the loudest and more graphical noises of love making leaving nothing for imagination. It was like sleeping in a brothel. One would not expect the hotel staff being unaware of what was going on. Surprisingly I found on my departure a big sign outside the hotel advertising their discounted offer for day-use. This hotel is never again.

worse stay ever and worse night sleep
The hotel may be the best in the world but would not make a difference. It is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in and the worse night sleep I ever had in a hotel. Simply it is brothel and not a hotel? Doors open and shut all night and until 3.0am. From the three opposite rooms you would hear very loud and explicit noises without any shame. I would leave the rest to one imagination. Personally I would not ever stay there again and would not advise any one especially families with children to stay there.

Handy for Naples
We booked this hotel based on price and its proximity to Naples. Having never visited this area before we did not know what to expect. we thought the surrounding area was a bit run down but quickly realised that this applies to most of Naples. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable and close to a large shopping centre with several food outlets. Our room was close to reception and was very noisey as the TV in reception was always blasting through our bedroom wall. When the TV wasn't on radio music piped through the corridor ceiling which sometimes was very loud.

Intolerable strong scent throughout the hotel
This place is located far from the city. Taxi will charge you E40 minimum. Around the hotel there is a large shopping mall and a nice local restaurant but nothing else. I would not recommend the hotel unless you have a vehicle. For two of us, the worst part of the hotel was a such strong scent they use throughout the hotel. We could not believe how other people could handle it. It absolutely overwhelms you as you walk in the hotel and your room. It smells like some sort of cheap man's perfume. We had to ask them not to clean our room during our stay for 3 nights. However, they made our room while we were out and filled up the room with the scent on the second day. We had to open all the windows while being shivering cold in the end of December.

beware of that hotel
we book large room with jacuzzi bath when we come to the hotel we receive a much smaller room (no space) the toilet first time in my life i had problem to seat (absolutely no space) no jacuzzi normal simple shower ,i was difficult to turn ,the biggest problem was with water in the morning and evening not possible to take shower or wash face because hotel run out of water!!!!!!! first time in my live i had to pay in my hotel for swimming pool 5 euro a day per person and only till 18;30,pictures on the site not shown the true condition of the room and stuff ,breakfast only sweet croissant , tropical drink and coffe only nice thing was a restaurant near by high quality and cheap amazing food never had so much see food in my life and so tasty ,this hotel ruins my holiday

Wonderful Hotel outside Naples
Fantastic hotel with lovely rooms. Staff in the hotel were all very kind and helpful. The only downside is that the hotel is right on a busy roundabout but I didn't hear any noise in the morning! 30mins from Naples, 40mins from Pompeii, it was the perfect place to stay for what we wanted to do. There is a brilliant pizza restaurant just out of the hotel and left. Doesn't look much but guarantee it is the best pizza I have ever had and the service was superb! All in all, fantastic hotel and would stay again!
