Nice lodge with a few minor issues
When we arrived they didn't have any knowledge of our booking, even though we'd already paid. Eventually they found our booking but the room we booked wasn't available for the first night so we were downgraded for the first night. We pushed and they offered us free dinner to compensate. The standard room is quite small and doesn't have a mosquito net. The executive room is much bigger and has a mosquito net. The beds are clean but some parts of the room could be cleaned, i.e. cobwebs in the corners. Breakfast was supposed to start at 7am but we arrived at 7.30 and they still hadn't finished setting up. There was an even longer wait for dinner. The staff were very friendly and the rest of the resort was really nice. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. There was also a little park for children.

The property should not be on Expedia.. The staff are exceptional but the management is very poor. I would not recommend anyone to visit the place. We were a family of 10. Very disappointed.

Cannot book through Hotels.com
Comfortable nice place to stay, with one very large snag. You apparently CANNOT book this hotel through Hotels.com. They will ask you to call Hotels.com to get a refund so that so you pay them directly. So I spent about 6 hours of my stay on the phone with rude Hotels.com staff and going back and forth between them and hotel management trying to figure out an issue that should NOT be the responsibility of the consumer. I was told there was no financial relationship between the two and that Hotels.com could not pay Dove Nest for the booking. I, then became the mediator between the two, trying to resolve an issue that was not mine to resolve. I was then told to not use Hotels.com to book this hotel, as if I should have had prior knowledge that this fiasco would happen. Do not book this hotel unless you want to waste your time trying to explain that if a booking is listed on a booking portal, it generally means that they have a business relationship and that if they do not, that they should be all hands on deck because a very reputable website is stealing from them. I had twelve hours to rest and finally have access to internet to get some work done - 6 of which were spent correcting mistakes made by hotel management and Hotels.com
