Family getaway

Enjoyed our stay. Inside accommodations, hot tub, firepit, property manager, and boat were all fantastic. Outside house and grounds need a little TLC.

Nice place!

Property was just as described and the property manager was very responsive!! It is close to both Muskegon and Grand Haven. We enjoyed the pontoon!

Paradise in Muskegon

I recently enjoyed this Lake House with several of my friends for a 4 day/3 night stay and it did not disappoint. The house was perfect for our group and right off the water. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The weather wasn’t so great so we gathered by the bond fire most night because we did not want to leave the lakeside. Our host was very nice and accommodating (even though we used up all the firewood). We can’t wait to come back!

Summertime fun

We loved being on the lake! The pontoon boat was beautiful and between that and the paddle boards and kayaks, we had plenty to enjoy. The jacuzzi and fire pit were an added bonus! We'd stay here again.

Lovely, updated, clean home

We loved the home, the pontoon, the fire pit and our time together in Norton Shores, on Mona Lake. The weather was warm enough that we skipped the hot tub, but sure loved the sunsets on the lake! Hope to stay again!

Great Stay!

My family visited for a long weekend due to my daughter’s dance competition in Fruitport. The home was clean, appeared as advertised, and had everything we needed (plenty of towels, kitchen utensils, etc). Communication from the hosts was excellent - clear, friendly, and timely. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and making s’mores on the fire pit by the lake. We’d definitely visit again!

Beautiful View

Our stay was amazing! With COVID we needed a change in scenery and this was the house for sure! Not only was it super clean we were able to enjoy the jacuzzi while overlooking the water. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck in the morning and watched the sunset while enjoying a cocktail by the fire next to the water. Thank you for great stay!

Nice Stay!

We had a fantastic stay! The amenities really made the trip, especially the hot tub and fire pit, which were perfect for relaxing in the evenings. We even made s'mores under the stars, which was such a fun touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and there were plenty of towels, including beach towels, which was super convenient.We took the canoe out on the water and tried a little fishing off the dock (no luck this time, but still a good time!). Grilled some steaks one night and enjoyed a great meal outside. The beds were really comfortable too, which made it easy to unwind after a day full of activities.Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful getaway with all the comforts of home and then some!

The pontoon boat, paddle boards, and kayaks were great. Parts of house were well maintained, however the upstairs bedroom and bathroom doors would not fully close. Lower patio door had no lock, a board was there for use however it was about 5 inches to short to lock the door fully closed. This lower patio door was also difficult to slide open and closed.

Great location for a small family reunion

We had a small family reunion at the cottage, and it was the perfect lake location. The pontoon seems like its almost new, we had a great time breezing up and down the lake and going to the small beach area on Mona Lake. The house was great and had everything we needed for the adults and kids. Kim was super communicative and welcoming. Thank you!

Another GREAT birthday weekend at Mona Lake!

This is our second year staying at Mona Lake for our birthday weekend. Lovely property and FABULOUS amenities. We spent most of our time paddleboarding on the lake, cruising on the boat, and relaxing in the hot tub. Kim was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Can't wait to return again next year! :)

Beautiful Home.

We really enjoyed our long weekend on Mona Lake. The house was very well stocked and had every thing we needed. Kim the property manager was awesome and answered any question. We paid to rent the pontoon and loved cruising the lake but it needs more details in the description about the exact dates when the boat rental is extra! But we would definitely like to return in the future!

Mona Lake Week

The house was originally built in the 1950's and has undergone significant improvements over the past few years: New interior, new roof, new appliances. The boat lift is nearing the end of its useful life. The yard is well maintained. Overall, the property makes a good impression and is a lovely location for enjoying the lake.

5th enjoyable year at Norton Shores

This was our 5th year staying at Norton Shores. The new flooring, refridgerator and stove added to the enjoyment. Kim as always was very helpful and had the place clean and tidy. The pontoon boat was a lot of fun for all of us. The only drawback was the condition of the boat dock which was in poor shape due to high water and made it very hazardous getting on and off the boat. This is in the works to be replaced. Looking forward to a sixth year stay. Thanks Ed for allowing us to stay at Mona Lake.

Almost perfect.

Family had a great time. Short drive to the beach and Michigan Adventure. They all loved fishing and kayaking. The only thing we were not happy about was the hot tub was not working and this was one of the main reasons we picked this home. We understand that mechanical things happen but we paid more for this home than other homes we were looking at based on the use of a hot tub. We loved spending the week with our children and grand children. It was nice to be able to cook meals at the house. Also a short drive to Meijer or Walmart for anything you may have forgotten to bring with you.

A Fun Family Vacation

Mona Lake was a great lake for our annual family vacation. Everyone enjoyed the big yard, the hot tub, and the pontoon that was on the property and available to rent. One of our sons had a speed boat and the lake was great for our teen-aged grandchildren to enjoy tubing! Before our vacation I had contacted the owner of the rental a few times with questions and he would answer back, almost immediately, which was great! The property manager met us on arrival and was friendly and helpful. My only suggestions for improvements would be to replace the refrigerator with the noisy ice maker, repair the oven door which did not open properly, and improve the upstairs air conditioners that did not cool well, even after we cleaned all the filters. However, the cool breezes off the lake at night made the rooms comfortable for sleeping. All things considered, this is great place to rent for a family vacation!!!

Pontoon/Hot tub Quiet Fun

Rented this home for our adult daughter/husband & their family w/boyfriend & girlfriend. Absolutely loved the pontoon boat & relaxation on the lake. Beautiful inside the new kitchen & all over! Plenty of storage & seating. Hot tub water so clean! Enjoyed the covered porch w/chairs.
