Only thing is working for their place is location. Rest everything is wrong. 1) can’t find with google map. 2) No parking 3) internet is not secure 4) no elevator so get ready to drag your suitcase. 5) everything is old nothing is up to date. 6) receptionist doesn’t speak English and not helpful at all.

Receptionist who checked me in at 6pm said office would be open until 8pm, but at 7:30 when I went to ask a few questions, he was already gone. I had to leave at 6:15 in the morning but there was no option for a take-away breakfast.

This property is conveniently located within walking distance from Marienplatz and multiple Sbahn stops.The check in process was smooth, and the host was welcoming and informative. However, the walls/doors are paper thin so it was quite noisy the entire time (doors slamming, people talking, neighbor sneezing... you can hear it all!). The rooms were adequate, but very very small and not recommended for more than 1 person - not even a married couple. I paid $60 for 1 night, and that is probably about the longest stay i would recommend. Had i paid more for my stay, i would have been very disappointed.

I am sorry, but despite this hotel's great position it is not clear whether it is private apartments or a hotel. Also, the toilet did not flush and the shower was "interesting"! Also, the door opened every time some close by opened or closed theirs, and oh having several extension plugs in the same socket then "extended" all over the room did not only look bad but MUST be dangerous! Then there wad breakfast...sighs... Will NEVER go back!!!!

Like all the reviews say, this place is good for one to two nights. My room was super small but adequate, which is all I needed. The breakfast was great and plentiful, like everyone says. The bed was way to hard and you could feel the springs through it when you turned. It may have been ok for a night had the pillow not been so, so flat. It was a real feather pillow, which I love, but absolutely no support at all. And, when I slept in it I kept smelling dust all night. I wonder if they ever wash the pillows. I was SO glad I brought my own to go on top of theirs. But even so, it wasn’t even enough firmness to prop myself up to watch a movie. The place says no smoking but I faced in to a courtyard and someone was definitely smoking and it floated up and into my room all night for hours. Despite the very few negatives, this is truly a bare minimum hotel for a way cheaper price than almost everything I found. The one thing I think they need to improve upon drastically is informing the customer HOW exactly to get there. There is a button at the front, which doesn’t work. When you walk in there are just stairs. Something saying it’s on the first floor up would be nice. And when I got there the reception door was locked and the bell didn’t seem to work. So I was standing around wondering if I even was in the right place. Someone finally did come and she was very nice and welcoming. I probably wold stay here again if I absolutely couldn’t find another place for a similar price.

Checking into Pension Seibel was a bit disconcerting. The room we got had very dated furniture and fittings and poor lighting. Once you get past the above, you will enjoy the other benefits of this hotel and that is the friendly staff, it's a very central location. We had an inner courtyard facing room, and as such, it was very quiet. Breakfast was adequate. I would have liked some fresh fruit. Strangely as mediocre as it is, I would visit it again. So this sums up the pluses and minuses of this place.

Huge disappointment
We chose this because it looked quaint but the only pleasant space was the breakfast room. A very old and tired building that needs a complete makeover. The staff didn’t interact at all and were noticeable by their absence apart from the young man who checked us in who looked as though he wanted to fall through a hole in the ground. Furniture is shabby and the bathroom hardly functional. There was no plug in the bath and the shower had to be hand held. An electric socket was unusable and dangerous. No WiFi other than standing in a downstairs lobby. The saving grace was a half decent breakfast but get there early or the coffee will be cold. Good position and comfortable bed. Far too expensive for what it has to offer.

At least you’re in the center of town!
Great location, right in the center of town! Parking is terrible on street but there is a parking garage under the Italian market, €30 per night. Good breakfast. Room is big but not well kept.

Good location, everything else pretty unimpressive
The good: Location was amazing. Breakfast was decent. The bad: None of our requests for the room were honored. The staff were neither friendly nor unfriendly. The room was in pretty terrible condition - our curtains were falling off the rods and the bed wasn't super clean - I had to brush it off before getting in. The toilet had this weird function where everything collected in the tub prior to being flushed down, because most of the bowl was elevated for some reason. There was a pigeon that would coo loudly outside in the mornings, making sleeping in impossible. So I would say - if you want to save money and aren't staying long, it's fine. But if you want a nice room, you're not going to get anything more than the basics here. I've stayed in nicer hostels. But I would definitely stay here again because it's cheap, central, and I can get some earplugs or maybe the pigeon will have left by the time I come back to Munich.

Best Location
This is a simply a basic place to stay. The staff was very helpful answering questions and was accommodating. The breakfast was well-presented; just keep in mind nothing is hot; it sufficed. The room was small, comfortable; basically clean; just not well dusted under the furniture. I dropped a couple of pills and had to look for them...plenty of dust under the bed and side table. But you can't beat the location. I was traveling alone and i would stay here again - the price is right for my needs.

Bare basics...walking distance to city center
I was nervous about this hotel based on the reviews but opted to stay here anyway because this trip to Germany was a bit spontaneous and my husband and I were on a tight budget. We were staying for a week and this hotel offered the best price to stay that long. Overall, everything was "ok". Nothing about this hotel is ideal, except for the breakfast...which was good and because it was included, helped us save money. The room was very small with two small twin beds (my husband and I had to sleep apart). We shared a bathroom (unexpectedly...pay attention to the room you're booking) with another guest. The bathroom was in the hallway (toilet separate from the shower). The building is old with no modern updates. There are no elevators and we were on the 4th floor! The staff was nice, but we were VERY disappointed with the facility upon check-in. However, we got used to it once we wrapped our heads around it is what it is. Don't expect luxury or even the normal standards for hotels. Cleanliness was satisfactory, but bring shower shoes in case you have to share showers. Overall, this hotel would not be on my list of places to stay again if I can help it, however, if in a dire bind, I could manage it.

A great value pick
The hotel exceeded my expectations. I needed a cheap place to stay during Oktoberfest and it beat my expectations. - Great location, in the city center near many tourist sites. 25 min walk to Oktoberfest. - Free breakfast buffet, which was very good. - Good Wifi connection. - Cozy rooms that felt traditionally German. - Friendly and helpful staff. - Low cost.

Stayed there for 3 nights and No doubt - Fantastic Location - Clean vicinity - Great connectivity (Transport) - Cute and old style rooms - Very safe locality - Has some cool cafes/bars nearby But as a product not worth paying 200 euros per night -- - Still have to pay for CHANGE OF BESSSHEETS PER BED (10Euros per bed sheet ).EXPEDIA should have shared this detail very clearly. - Cubersome internet connection for iPhone and signal very weak in room.need to be in reception floor or near the door of the room - Facilities provided for the rates as nothing WORSE then a Hostel - HORRIBLE spring beds ~ makes noise with every breath - HORRIBLE room cleaning cos once you check in no one cleans the room ... not even dust or broom the floor ... - IDEA OF ROOM CLEANING IS ---only change of towels. - Exactly SAME items for all 3 days ... for breakfast no change not even bakeries option. - Cramped up RESTAURANT definitely not designed for the no. of pax in rooms - tooo small Also to share , Lady at restaurant for break fast very sweet and accommodating rest are OKAY !! Hotel needs to understand if they are a concept then they also adhere to the price bracket... if you are charging 190-200 euros per night for that period some BASICS to be included - room cleaning In all NOT WORTH the money but if no option- then this is THE option (Octoberfest Rush)

Conveniently close to the centre of Munich
We stayed in one of the family apartments which was on the fourth floor (no lift). It had two bedrooms and a bathroom plus kitchen facilities in one of the rooms (including a fridge and hob). There were two double beds and one single bed. The facilities were adequate (beds comfortable and clean) but the kitchen area could have been cleaner. The bathroom was small and the shower head couldn't be angled correctly in it's holder to have a proper shower - had to be hand held - but it worked. Breakfast was good and included hard boiled eggs, cold meat/cheese, warm rolls, croissants, cakes, cereal, juices, coffee etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower gel/shampoo provided and hairdryer available on request.

Exceptional Value for Groups/Families
If you are traveling with multiple people or as a family, this hotel should garner serious consideration. We reserved two rooms, one for us as a couple and one for a family of four. The Pension is wonderfully located near a variety of eating and shopping options and just a block away from a main market area. The building and many of its fixtures are old, as first evidenced by the stairs, but don't be deterred. Upon check-in, Marie upgraded the family to their largest room which was cavernous, had a separate kitchen, and huge bathroom. Our room wasn't much smaller, though the bathroom bordered on minuscule and could have used a bit of updating. However, it was very clean and as my husband and I aren't picky, we made it work. The beds were more comfortable than many we've experienced in Germany and with the windows closed, silence reigned. There is a robust and delicious European breakfast in a darling breakfast room. For the location, price, size, food, and service, our entire entourage agreed that we would definitely stay there again.

Very central location
The location is excellent. The breakfast had a nice selection. The rest leaves a lot to be desired and due to that this old pension did not feel clean to us. To add to that, when we got to our room the room had not been cleaned after the last people had left. We were glad we had booked only one night.

Moldy Smell
The bathroom had a lot of mold in it and made the room smell really moldy. The room did not feel clean and we would not recommend staying here.
