I absolutely adore this place. Upon arrival we were given a fresh flower garland and a hot drink - a perfect complement to the cool mountain air. The room was beautiful and the bed was large and very comfortable. There were complimentary fresh fruits on a platter (even though we only stayed one night). At turn down service, they came in to take the flowers off the bed and drop the net around it - we had a nice surprise coming back from dinner to find our bed ready to sleep in :-).

It is a huge, beautiful property in the mountains. The scenery and lakes, waterfalls and mountains are stunning, staff are brilliant, food is excellent and we couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended.

We are so pleased we found this hotel on our travels around the northern end of Bali.
Firstly, the staff are amazing - Dedi you are a credit to the Balinese and the wonderful values they hold.
The villas are huge, the bathrooms are lovely. Don't be put off by no aircon as you don't need it up in the hills. Views out over the rice fields are amazing.
Breakfast was amazing made with produce from the hotel grounds itself!
The pool is huge and clean.
We have 2 children aged 11 and 16 - both loved...

We booked 2 but stayed 3 nights. Very clean, comfy and friendly staff. We booked a motor bike for two days from them and they helped us get to our next destination.

This collection of 14 villa units has a beautiful setting. The staff were determined to ensure we felt welcome, we were comfortable, we ate and drank well and we left with a sense of tasting a piece of paradise. They succeeded!

No complaints whatsoever. Service was excellent, rooms were large, modern and luxurious, facilities were outstanding and the food surprisingly good! The only thing is that the resort was a little bit remote from Ubud centre (about 45 minutes) but that isn't even necessarily a bad thing as it gave us a more peaceful stay. There is a free shuttle from the resort to Ubud centre that runs fairly regularly as well.

From the moment we arrived through the beautiful long driveway at Ayung Resort until 7 days later when we reluctantly left, we experienced the real magic of Balinese hospitality and open heartedness of the people. The hotel is astonishingly beautiful (so much nicer than the photos). Every aspect of the layout interior and exterior has been thought out with beauty in mind. The landscaping and gardens are fantastic with pagodas set amongst the trees, pathways to meander along, amazing cravings...

We stayed there for a whole week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A unique resort and perfect place to relax and unwind. Very private feeling - no crowds - quiet and relaxing - only 18 rooms - Half of them with their own private pools so had communal infinity pool to ourselves with one or two other couples - Staff very friendly. Great service, Excellent selection of breakfasts which is included - High tea served everyday also included.
