The apartment is lovely. Very spacious, high ceilings and an amazing location! So much light with big windows in the apartment. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable. However the windows really need to be double or triple glazed as the noise at night of people in the street is very loud. The room on the left of the entrance is next to the elevator shaft and the noise when someone uses the elevator is loud.TVs in both rooms never worked - even after someone came to fix them twice.

Good location to walk to port and restaurants in old montreal. Very significant late night street noise noted during our summertime trip. Functional space but wouldn't consider luxurious. Need to update several threadbare towels and 'lobby' and stairs were unpleasant. Not a penthouse unit- had people on floor above very easily heard walking- listing description needs to corrected. Terrific location but not worth premium price.

Noisy in Old Montreal

It was a great location but we definitely would've appreciated the heads up on the massive street construction happening below the two main bedrooms at 7am Mon to Friday. Pair that with the nightlife going past until 3am and some jetlag and you will wish you had earplugs and a sound machine. Older apartment, and spacious but could use some newer and cleaner furniture. A little grubby around the edges but the beds were comfy. Property manager was super quick to respond and helpful too. We did find it to be quite expensive for 2.5 bedrooms but I suppose that's the location cost.

Disappointing

Location can't be beat. Unfortunately the property is tired and shows significant wear. Shower head in one bathroom was broken so only handheld shower possible. Floors turned our white socks black, towels are thin, sparse and dingy. Living room has so much potential but sofa and chairs are well worn and ick factor when you go to sit down. If elevator not operational very steep double flight of steps to reach apartment. We also experienced a foul odor in the kitchen. When we returned from dinner we saw a mouse scurry under the stove. Lastly, be prepared for street noise to extend well into the night/early morning.
