"I frequently stay at the Sand Dollar. It's budget friendly and the staff is always helpful. The pool is well maintained and they have an elevator which is a godsend when you're on the 3rd floor. "

It’s just one block from downtown, so it’s nice and quiet but still super easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The continental breakfast was tasty. "We stayed in the Junior Cottage for less than $200/night. It was super cute, cozy and I wish we could have stayed longer. The reviews on Expedia and Google made us question committing to this place, so we viewed the cottage before we booked it. It was just fine, as advertised. The bathroom is a little dated and not great lighting but it was clean and functioned well. The fireplace was cute but it was too warm for us to use. No AC because that’s not a thing in Cali!! Great walk to the beach, less than 5 min walk. "
