"I left a high-speed phone charger and expensive cord behind when checking out in a hurry to find a Starbucks for reliable WiFi and to have a Zoom meeting. Later that day I rang Bay Breeze Inn, and on the two following days. No – the charger and cord were not in the ‘lost and found’, and management don’t like the word “theft.” The WiFi was on and off continually, intermittently, despite an access point being outside the next room. The building is between two roads and the boys who can’t afford mufflers for their cars parade past the place at all hours of the day and night. And the upstairs occupants (like ‘elephants’) can be heard when walking. Maintenance? How long does it take to replace a collapse refrigerator seal or replace a bathroom fan that sings like a tortured bird before screeching and dying like something from a horror movie? The staff have dropped the ball on this one as well. But don’t mention any negative reports (like this one) when you talk to them unless you want to be treated rudely. Speak no evil, see no evil, hear no evil."

"It is obvious they are upgrading the property. We were very comfortable. Everything was wonderful. "

"When we attempted to check in the staff was rude and not helpful. The parking was very limited plus there was a big street festival that took up all of the street parking. We should have been notified of this but were not. Our room faced a busy street which was noisy all night. The promised breakfast didn't start until 8AM which is late for early risers. The one day we did get breakfast it was just coffee and some mediocre pastries. They promised some kind of yogurt parfait but it was late being prepared. They have signs in their bathrooms about ancient plumbing and saving water but to get hot water you had to run the water for an extended time. In summary, this place is not ready for prime time."

"Free Breakfast and 5:30 to 7:30 pm cocktails and nibbles were very good. We had the corner room which was excellent. Location distance to attractions in Monterey, Pacific Grove and Carmel are very good. What we didn’t like was the$20/night hotel parking charge as the parking lot does not have a security gate to enter and exit. We also did not like the $15/night Destination charge, which can be deducted if you purchase something in their gift shop."
